Holy Shit I did it.
It’s been years since I’ve been able to climb like this from the floor.
What started with postpartum core than has turned into the basics of abs, the fun stuff, and now the ability to put it all together.
Show up daily. Work hard. Be consistent 👊
I remember not being able to do a single dip. Not even close.
My workouts were silly cardio/hiit/dumb exercise based.
Striving for STRENGTH made everything different. Better.

Kid breakfast at 7am before camp, work etc.

Another day down of me being a complete goof.
When you have a base level of strength, everywhere you go is FUN.
Plus, your kids think you’re super cool. Life win.
Thought I’d give a go at 15lb weighted chin ups today.
I figured worst that was happen was I wouldn’t get up.
I got three! Felt pretty badass.
Always TRY. Push yourself. Test yourself.
You never know what you can do until you try.

Cracked a 100lbs!!!
I’ve been waiting for this for a while. Is it perfect? Nope. Did it happen? Yep.
Though I’d like to get that extra 1/2 inch on depth, my shoulders tend to yell when I push it so 🤷♀️ it’s a freaking win.

Switched it up this morning and used some bands. Creating the tension in the back of the body was insane in the best of ways.

Picking up 175 lbs today like I own it 💪

Hit legs haaarrddd this morning which means the school Walk will be a nice way to loosen them up.
Train hard. Settle for nothing.
It has taken me years of chin ups( pregnancies in there).
It’s taken core rehab.
It’s take a year of floor, hanging, and variations of Lsits.
All to get these four sets of three reps.
The “cool” stuff isn’t so cool once broken down. It’s daily effort repeated.
Keep going.
This is 36.
This is the year I focus on me.
The year I push my strength.
The year I embrace, accept, and keep pushing.
Age is a number.. and 36 will be a great one.

Like everyone, I hated exercise when I started. It was hard and uncomfy.
It wasn’t until I started getting STRONG that I realized how freaking badass and confident you feel on the daily.
Don’t be scared of strength, embrace it.
Used the gym at the condo on vacation.
I get nervous at new gyms (weird right??).
So, I asserted my dominance to the other guys in the room by making my first set strict pull ups and pistol squats 😂
Training this morning made me feel high because strength gains were so perfect!
Adding that oh so slight pause on my bench pushed past a wicked plateau.
Keep pushing, grinding & succeeding fit fam 👊
My daughter has her first ever cross country meet today.
I am so BLESSED I work a job that allows me to take the morning off, bike down and watch her run.
She’s excited, super nervous. I asked her why she tried out and she said “so we can do it together” 😭 ❤️

6lbs 15ounces she’s my biggest one. Mom and babe are at home doing well and resting up.

Overhead presses are a weak one for me so I work them, step by baby step.
But finally pressing half my Bodyweight here they feel strong.

Up and done today.
It wasn’t easy. I had kids fighting and yelling and one got kicked out of the gym (yes, that’s a thing in our house lol)
But exercise did happen.
It’s not always easy or perfect. Push through anyways.
The wicked thing about the beach is you can adjust tricky exercises to give you an ever so slight incline.
With the incline I can easier train bottom pauses.
A few sets of push ups and pistol squats to kick off the day 💪

Sick kiddo home again today. You’d think I’d skip my workout.
But here’s the thing: this 30 minutes I take for myself will make be BETTER able to:
Snuggle
Ignore work
Be patient
Without my mind going crazy. Take the thirty minutes.
Finished a mini mobility session (literally 15 minutes) with a bit of core work.
Lsit holds are tricky and engagement is something I cheated for years.
So, this 10 second hold may seem super small… but everything was totally engaged, activated and feeling strong 💪
Fail. Learn. Try again.
The first one didn’t work… but the next few did.
Starting to incorporate some plyo/explosive training in.
Shot is hard as hell but a great to shot my kids we can do hard things 👊
Christmas Eve 🤶
Spent this morning doing a “playtime” session where I toy with all the random exercises or new ones I want to work in.
These banded holds are one of them.. and they’re HARD (notice I need two bands!).

A lesson in why filming yourself is good:
You find out where you’re breaking down.
“Stacking” is a huge struggle for me and this drill points out a lot.
Accept where you’re at, make a plan, and get stronger.
Got to hang out at our friends houseboat today and I found the PERFECT spot for some quality pulls 😂
The looks as boaters passed were totally the highlight of my day.

We woke up LATE today.
I debated pushing my workout back and taking it out of my work day.
Instead, we hustled up and got it dove anyways.
A bit shorter and less rest but we. Showed. Up.
They don’t always have to be perfect. But you have to show up.

I didn’t expect to hit this weight today (180lbs) but it felt smooth.
Filmed from a new angle and honestly it’s weird.
I’ve been pushing deads hard these last few months and watching them go up and FEEL smooth is bloody huge.

Took a bit longer than normal to warm up this morning.
But once I did the weight was smooth.
Never forget the cardinal lesson of the squat:
It teaches you to push back up when you’re down.

Switched it up to elevated squats today to shift the weight a bit and woof, the fire was real.
Felt awesome though.

The weight was feeling so smooth this morning and is there a better feeling than that?
Deadlifts, handstands, lunges, deficit push ups and so much more fun.

It’s like coming home
I took four weeks off from weights to just focus on calisthenics.
Though it was fun, I missed weights like effing mad. A blend is best for me.
First time deadlifting in five weeks and it felt AMAZING.

Last deadlift session of the year and I wanted to finish strong..
So attempted a max lift.
180 pounds.
This is my max from four years ago and it’s back. I’m coming for two hundred in the new year 👊
I never did the ALL IN. Instead year by year swapped..
