That any Council Officer would abuse their influence to wilfully & cynically mislead Cllrs & the public is galling & I commend the Officers who have challenged this within these emails & others I have seen. I fully support the @GCParentsGroup call for an investigation into this.

I am dismayed by news that all School Holiday Food programs across Glasgow have had an immediate funding cut of 20% & been advised to spend no money on activities. The SNP administration have effectively just created 52 children‘s soup kitchens in modern day Glasgow! Disgraceful.

I left school at 15 with no qualifications. I was homeless when I was accepted to a summer access to university program at 19 and here I am a couple degrees, teaching career and election win later… like Ange, I’m kicking ass!! 🌹 🥊 🥊

I remember the personal safety training I received on starting this job in May. I was told how to keep myself safe in surgeries, constituent visits etc, but not in the Council Chambers during Full Council. Today was beyond the pale.

Astonishing to hear threats being made to me by an SNP Councillor Graham Campbell in today's Full Council meeting. The failure to intervene by the Lord Provost to protect members who had been shouted at by Cllr Campbell was unacceptable. We will be taking these matters further.

You may know of the incredible victory of #SaveRuchillCC . You don’t know that Shona Thomson prevented an attempt to asset transfer the centre against the communities will by meeting with the proposed receiver to fight the communities case. She won. She tends to do that 👌 #hero

I had a really lovely chance meet with a retired soldier, Ben, at today’s Remembrance proceedings, who turned out to have been raised in my ward. He’s asked me to sort out the flagpole area at Ruchill Park. I’ll get on that Ben ❤️

I’m disappointed to see this level of flooding at the underpass to Bilsland Dr when in June I made arrangements with @GlasgowCC to have the drainage system sorted to prevent this! I’ll be escalating this matter to ensure a quick and effective resolve for local road users 🚗 🚌

I am concerned by the sudden announcement that for 3 weeks from Oct 10th a section of Bilsland Dr will be closed to complete roadworks for the Bellway development leaving Ruchill without public transport. 🚌 ❌

Just stood at a bus stop with my mother who I care for. Both barely 5ft & an intoxicated male has shouted in our faces, called me a whore and made sexually explicit comments. Bus stop full of men, and yes, I did end up telling repeatedly: “ Do this to a man!”. I don’t apologise.

There are fears scaffolding surrounding a Glasgow community centre could cost tens of thousands of pounds. Ruchill Community Centre is being renovated after closing 3 years ago. Their £262k budget has already taken a hit and have been told another £400k is needed.
