Discovered this set of Sahih Bukhari dating to year 800 Hijrah (about 6 and a half centuries), in the Hujrah of Pesh Imam of Masjid Wazeer Khan Lhr. Leather binding, surprisingly fine paper and neat condn. Reflects the imp of knowledge and love of books by Muslims of the era.

This is the same Gurdaspur that Radcliffe wrongfully awarded to India on the eve of partition, after it had been approved as part of Pak in the Award. It was to get an access to Kashmir for India. Hundreds of Muslims of Dist died in the ensuing struggle to get to Pak. 1/2

Gurdaspur administration has issued a High Alert Appeal to the people living near the Ravi river to go to safe places, Around 2 lakh cusecs of water is going to be released from the river, due to which the water level in the Ravi river is going to increase.

PTV had intellectuals like Ashfaq Ahmad, Bano Qudsia, Munnu Bhai, Fatima Suraya Bajiya, Haseena Moeen, Amjad Islam Amjad, Anwar Maqsud, Yawar Hayat working for it. It was the biggest galaxy of intellect and literature in Pakistan once.
