Wanted to show off another practical example using detail normals! This one is more pertinent to furry characters where we want the flesh parts of our characters (nose, beans) to have a bumpy texture. Simply using a Detail Normal instead of a 4K normal, we save 20mb!

Doin' the funny light simulation baking for the Umbra Audiolink outfit! I love this so much, but it does add complications with modular clothing. Will have to have a material swap to essentially turn it off when you toggle portions of the outfit

Haven't done a painter micro tutorial in awhile! This is a setup I use to generate Ambient Occlusion and Curvature from painted height information. This is handy if you are creating distinct normal/height details inside of Painter but still want those details to contribute to AO

I should really write up a post going over Texel Density and it's theory. I see it a lot from avatar modders/creators having wildly different texel ratios between meshes and their textures. Both texture size and UVs play a role here and consistency is the name of the game

Something experimental I'm messing with for the V3 update. Adding back the Rex type fluff. Except the fluff itself is separate geometry that isn't meshed into the body, allowing you to hide the fluff while maintaining clean topology. Just gotta figure out an optimal workflow!
