The meeting was in reference to launching a South African chapter of the World Food Forum.
FAO had the pleasure of attending the recent South African Presidential inauguration hosted at the Union Buildings. We look forward to working in partnership with the 7th Administration in ensuring that no one is left behind.
The FAOR Dr Babagana Ahmadu was invited by the TsiTsikamma Development Trust in the Eastern Cape.
They specialise within Dairy farming and requested FAO’s specialised technical assistance to fulfill their objective of diversification and expansion.
As part of our Farmer Field Visits we had the pleasure of being hosted by the Ncera Macadamia Farming project.
They are one of the first projects that incorporate community ownership as part of their business model.
FAOR delivered a presentation to a joint session of Brazil-South Africa delegations on the work of FAO in supporting the livestock industry in South Africa.
