What did Gukesh do after Caruana resigned? He didn’t jump with joy. He didn’t run to embrace his captain even though his emotions were through the roof. Instead, he calmly set up the pieces on the board. Humility worthy of World Champ 🏆

I am a Grandmaster. I played near perfect OTB game for 27 moves vs Carlsen in 2017 IOM International. Imagine if I didn’t make a mistake and won the game, only to get accused of cheating by the World Champ… How can one player ruin the reputation for life of any GM?

Every #chess opening has a flaw. Here’s my take on some popular ones: 1) French - bad c8 bishop 2) Caro - lack of space 3) Dragon - walking on thin ice 4) AcDragon - d5 outpost/space 5) Najdorf - 50,000 sidelines 6) Bongcloud - really?

Dubov says Erigaisi and Gukesh are studying chess 10 hours a day. That’s why they are so good. So, to compete with them he needs to up his game from only 3-4 hrs daily to at least 8. Hmm, is this so straight forward? 🤔

Some of my #chess students spot tactics and strategic ideas at GM level. Yet, they can’t break 2200 rating. Why? A: Consistency. To perform at Master level, your every move must be at least 2200. It only takes one 1200 move to lose a game.
