@Slade
I really do feel like Kobe's one of the people who put in the work to evolve over time. He 100% made mistakes but he was a better man at 40 than he was at 20, like so many of us. This news is tragic.
The year is 2060. Trees no longer exist. Every morning you must complete one (1) Wordle to earn your rations for the day. Tom Brady just completed yet another 30 TD, 4000 yard season.
I think part of why NE is spending so much also is because next year, once the cap bounces back, the contracts are going to be even MORE absurd. These deals feel high now but in 2022 they're about to skyrocket. This is a buyer's market for NE.

If Kizer still isn't doing the job and Rodgers is out for a long period of time...maybe the Packers can look into bringing in someone else:
- A native Wisconsonian
- A Super Bowl QB
- Great record AGAINST the Packers
His name, of course, is Colin Kaepernick.
@BraveArcanine
One thing I've realized more and more recently is that I'm not as terminally online as I once thought. There are people MORE terminally online, they are constantly miserable, and they want to bring everyone down to their level.
every time I see an Angels highlight it's like "Mike Trout hit three homes runs and raised his average to .528 while Shohei Ohtani did something that hasn't been done since 'Tungsten Arm' O'Doyle of the 1921 Akron Groomsmen, as the Tigers defeated the Angels 8-3"
CNN analyst says the intel Trump stole are so sensitive that FBI agents will begin FINGER PRINTING each document to find out who actually touched them.
It is sometimes very weird when I see super young people achieve really inflated job titles like "VP" or "Director" or "Global Lead" at, like, age 30. Who are those people?
Anyway, I'm now the Director of Original Content Marketing at Twitch.
I really hope that someone in the Overland Park, KS (or who knows of people in that area) get Tamba Hali the help that he needs. These Tweets are concerning and symptomatic of a paranoid scizophrenic.
If the asking price for a lightly used Josh Rosen has already depreciated in value by TWO FULL ROUNDS just a year after selection, that says a LOT about teams overvaluing the unknown vs. known commodities.
This is how KVN/Trent Brown trades happen for Patriots.
Quietly, one of the biggest issues this year was the loss of David Andrews. No run game all year. It greatly hindered PA opportunities/down and distances.
If Josh Gordon really left the Browns facility to get away from the Hard Knocks cameras, more power to him. Not everyone wants their entire lives broadcasted, and he may not want his redemption story to be made into a TV spectacle.
The Patriots literally just won a Super Bowl and the only way they broke through was using run heavy personnel in a passing set to cultivate a defensive mismatch. Saying that the run game doesn't matter is like saying you can win a game of chess by just using your queen and rooks
Btw I just looked it up, the original Jake was an actual employee of the insurance company that they found through an internal casting call.
He's a bartender in Illinois now while new Jake assumed his identity and is sitting courtside at games with celebrities
Through 4 games the Patriots OL has been so good. Per PFF:
Onwenu - 2nd OG
Andrews - 3rd C
Shaq - 7th OG
Wynn - 12th LT
Eluemenor - 9th RT
Thuney - 5th OG
I feel like the one player who unites all NFL fans in wanting the best for him is Teddy Bridgewater
It is very, very hard to dislike Teddy Bridgewater
Teddy for President
To be clear --
1. We should want more of a statement here; i.e. why didn't he know the symbolism tattoo in the first place
2. The media should not let him off the hook with just the response
3. I still believe he shouldn't have been drafted
I'd actually argue Georgia is incredibly important, the 2024 Senate Map is incredibly unkind for Democrats (lots of defense, limited attacking space). Getting 6 years of Georgia sealed up would be huge.
So.....some personal news.
After 5 years living in New York City, I’m moving to San Francisco to work for Twitch.
I’m incredibly excited for the opportunity.
Courtland Sutton with a 6.57 3 cone...he's a surefire 1st rounder to me
That 3 cone time is quicker than Deion Branch, Julian Edelman, or Brandin Cooks, for reference
For anyone who isn't Jewish and doesn't get why the reaction to Kanye and Kyrie is so strong - it's not just a matter of hurt feelings or being offended. It's that Jews have heard these fearmongering stereotypes many times before and they tend to serve as preludes to scary shit.
@bombsfall
Broke: Refusal of the call
Woke: The call goes straight to voicemail and the protagonist never listens to it because the only people that leave voicemails nowadays are robocallers
Ever since Edelman and Gordon showed up, it's be a whole new world for the Patriots on offense. The defense still has lots of questions, but they can move the ball now.
The reason why I'm slightly less pessimistic on the Patriots is that they were pretty empirically unlucky to not make the playoffs this year DESPITE Patricia/their STs. They should have beaten Bengals and Raiders, I think Vikings as well. I'm hopeful for 2023-24.
This Gilmore release feels like the Patriots doing a solid for the player. They weren't going to resign him long-term so now he can dictate his own market. Gilmore was incredible and I'll miss him, but hopefully this means the Patriots invest in Jackson.
