When a person follows me or sends me a DM
I don't care about their follower count.
I look at the message they put out.
I look at how consistent they are
I look at what they do
Then I decide if that person is worth my time.
Be careful how you present yourself.
If your strategy isn’t working.
Don’t waste time complaining and sulking.
Instead,
Sit your ass down
Brainstorm new ideas
Then implement aggressively
If it isn’t giving you results you desire, you go ahead and do the same.
Until you find the ONE that works.
If you can’t write, learn
If you can’t sell, learn
If you can’t design, learn
If you can’t communicate, learn
Nothing is too hard to learn
You are just too lazy to push yourself

PS: Took this pic this morning 😂
Ignore my swollen eye
I’ve always loved to challenge myself.
So I’m thrilled about this!
I'll be embarking on a 14 Days X Growth Challenge with David.
For the next 14 Days
Expect:
- Amazing Content
-Quality Replies
-Consistent efforts
Let's grow together
Day 1 of 14DXGC w/David”
If you are content creator in Nigeria,
Showing up daily amid this whole brouhaha,
I give you your credit.
I am back.
Creating content on X is now a lifestyle for me.
I felt incomplete and unsettled these past few days.
Get ready to start seeing my content on your feed. 💃
Every one isn’t your audience.
Not everyone will like your post.
Stop trying to address everyone
Instead:
Identify your target audience
Write for your target audience.
❌ Write in a way anyone can understand
✅ Write in a way your target audience can understand
It’s Social Saturday!
My name is Blessing.
I’m a copywriter.
I help businesses generate leads without ads
and convert them with an irresistible copy.
Apart from being a copywriter, I write poems.
I love dancing and cooking.
Introduce yourself. Let's get to know you 👇
I was featured among the five sales queen of the week on LinkedIn.
Congratulations to me.
That’s me with my right hand under my chin.
I was recognized by Queen of Sales.
❤️❤️🤭
Why did I choose copywriting?
I never loved sales
I didn’t care about marketing
I didn’t care about human psychology
I preferred writing fiction and content
I just wanted to write
Now, see who is a top copywriting voice.
Just give yourself time
My Consistency on X took a great turn with the 14DXGC with
@IAmDavidFavour
Within these 14 days:
🟨 I created over 500 tweets
🟨 I connected with intelligent individuals
🟨 My posts got reactions and engagement
🟨 I became a big lover of X.
Don’t stop challenging yourself.
I see people spend $$ to join a community,
Top creators are charging $$ to join their inner circle
Many people are banking on paid community membership
This is because:
You can’t always do it alone.
You can learn a course yourself
However, joining a community opens doors.
2 ways to build confidence in your craft
Practice writing daily
Invest in quality knowledge daily
Keep putting yourself out there
Never be idle!
Impostor syndrome isn’t only for newbies.
You are not excluded because you have been writing for 4 years.
Stop struggling with coming up with new content ideas
Here’s what you should do:
Go back to your old tweet, tweak a bit, then post again!
(It’s called repurposing your content.)
I tried it and got twice as many engagements than the first time.
Do this and thank me later.
It’s Social Saturday!
Let’s do something fun this morning
I want you to tag someone who has inspired you this week on X with their content
Feel free to celebrate them
It shouldn’t be big account alone.
I celebrate
@Panama_Writes
@Kuyik_Bassey
Do this to inspire someone.
This is a tricky but very simple question.
(Winner gets free access to my copywriting coaching program).
What’s the last thing that appears at the end of every copy?
Comment below.
Last week didn’t go so well on X
❌ I didn’t post as much
❌ I didn’t engage at all
❌ I didn’t connect with new people
Amid all that
🔹 My poem was accepted for publication
🔹 Landed a new client
🔹Did some work on Medium
Here is to doing better this new week.
Cheers🥂
How long do you think it will take you to be better at what you are doing?
Six months?
A year?
Two years?
You can only tell if you don’t stop working or trying.
There is only one way to get better at writing
Write bad copy first
Instead of chasing perfection,
Allow yourself to write bad copy first
Then you improve on it to make it better
Do this and watch yourself become a pro.
Have a productive day!
How often do you do this in your copy?
PRAISE your customers
Some people are too quick to say:
– You’re the problem
– You’re not taking action
– You don’t want to spend
Don’t do that.
You want to help your customers see the good in themselves they might have ignored.
As your responsibility increases, it can be challenging to stay consistent with your brand.
What matters is that you keep trying your best.
Show up as much as you can.
Your brand isn't an option B.
There are days, I don't feel beautiful
There are days when I feel like quitting
Some days I feel less of myself
But this doesn't define me.
Don't let the moment define you or your reality
On days when you don't feel like it, remember the days you felt more like it.
🥂
You’re building online but
You don't have a content strategy??
My first 7 days:
• I didn't have a content strategy
• I couldn't decide on posting time
I saw results, but I want more.
This week expect content:
• Sales
• Lead gen
• Copywriting
Day 8 of 14DXGC w/David
I didn’t feel like posting today.
But I showed up regardless.
LOL
Many of us don’t have a choice.
This is because:
– I work online
– I get my clients online
– I’m building a brand I have to continuously show up for
We don’t wait for motivation here
Get more serious!
My highlight of the week:
1) Started a challenge on X
2) Hosted a 20-day copywriting
challenge on LinkedIn
3) My bro gifted an Eskimo dog for Valentine
4) Made significant progress on X
5) A picture of me using sunscreen
for the first time. I applied too much 😂
As a copywriter,
You don’t write copy for the sake of sounding super creative and interesting.
(You’re not a fictional writer).
You write for the sake of selling and you must be able to do this in every line of the copy you are writing.
Happy Monday. 🫶
I never run out of content ideas.
Even when I would post spontaneously.
This is because:
I know what interests me
I have good knowledge about it
I know it is relevant
So, figure out
🟨 What niche interests you
🟨 Get enough knowledge about it.
🟨 Share consistently
Maturity is realizing that people grow at a different pace.
So, when you see people with higher likes and followers, don't feel down.
Instead, feel motivated.
Result is guaranteed if you put in the work consistently.
5 things building a brand online taught me
1. Consistency
2. Discipline
3. It taught me to be more creative
4. Comparison is a killjoy
5. Giving up is never an option
What stands out for me is the clarity I’ve gotten since I started showing up.
What have you learned?
Let’s be honest with ourselves.
It might take you a long time to close some clients.
Most people who inquire about your product won’t buy it immediately.
It’s important to learn how to follow up.
A simple: “Blessing, are you still interested in...” can go a long way!
Monday is the most dreadful day of the week.
Especially between the time 7 am - 10 am
Because this is the time most people get ready to go do the work they hate.
Even if you haven’t experienced it.
Most of our parents did.
You are here on X because you dare to be different
It’s frustrating studying that course on your own
You have so many unanswered questions after watching that YouTube video
I understand how you feel
Send me a DM.
I help make learning copywriting and building a portfolio easy for you.
😇
I gained 13 new followers!
On Monday:
I started the X growth challenge with
David Favour with 160 followers.
🔹 I’ve made some friends
🔹My posts engagement have
also increased
Cheers to seeing more results.🤭🥂
You will keep struggling to come up with content
If you only measure your progress based on:
🟨Number of likes
🟨Comments
🟨Reposts
I’m not saying they don’t matter.
It only becomes a problem if you let yourself get pressured.
Allow yourself to enjoy the creative process.
Strategy isn't working? Use another
Taking longer time? Be patient
Complicated than you think? Keep trying
Want to procrastinate? Don't!
If one strategy isn't working, don't give up.
Don't think you’ve failed.
Just find another option that works.
Let's get it again!
Things to do to engage your audience this week:
🔹Create relevant content
🔹Talk about what they care about
🔹 Solve a problem
🔹Share your story
🔹Engage just as much
You want to avoid:
🔹Trying to address everyone
🔹Not showing up
Let’s win this week! 🫶
There are so many reasons not to take action:
🔹I have no money
🔹 I don’t have time
🔹 I’m scared of failing
🔹I don’t have any experience
🔹People are doing better than me
🔹The market is saturated
However, all you need is a strong WHY.
I hope you don’t lose yours.
I need to change my posting time.
If I am going to make X work. I need
a new time.
I will be sticking to my first post at 6:30 am.
Second post will be around 8:30
Final post at 3 pm.
Then I will engage at night right before bed.
My tight schedule won't make give up on X.
How do I sell in my emails?
It’s pretty simple.
Take it from someone who has
helped over 10 businesses launch sales campaign
🟨 Be confident in the solution you offer
🟨 Set a clear goal
🟨 Identify pain points
🟨 Introduce your solution
🟨 Use incentives/testimonials
I always have an excuse not to do something
– There is still enough time
– There are others better than you
– You can't get anything done
In the end, I end up achieving nothing.
That's what excuses do to you.
– It makes you incapable
Get things done!
Day 2 of 14DXGC w/David
Focus on one thing at a time
I spoke with a prospect who I was
supposed to help with some email writing
He had only just started his email list,
But bro wants to introduce new offers everyday
That’s a cool, but it’s not profitable.
You nurture first
Tease them
Then sell
The greatest lesson I’ve learned about patience is from the Bible
Many people won’t succeed because they are quick to give up.
You can’t always go for the quick fix and expect the best result.
The choice is yours.
Happy Sunday!
Have you done a sales campaign before?
That’s what this prospects asked me
Of course, I said yes!
Showed him my portfolio
Revealed some info about results I’d attained in the past,
Look who got the job 😊💃
Don’t fail to reach out guys
What happens after three months of posting:
- You get better at writing
- You will grow followers
- You will connect with new people
- You will gain confidence in your writing
What will happen after six months?
Many won’t get to tell because they would have given up.
Life is all about taking risks.
Sometimes we take actions without any idea of the results.
We can only hope and take action.
So, even if you are not getting results yet.
I hope you stay resilient and keep moving.
I wish you success! 🫶🤗
Have a great day!
No matter how great your offer is,
If you can’t communicate how it will help your client:
🟨 Make more money
🟨 Save money
🟨 Save time and effort
🟨 Gain praise and popularity
You need to scrap that ASAP!
These are reasons that they will get your clients to buy from you.
You can get it right in all areas.
▫️In work
▫️ In your personal life
▫️In your relationship with God
However, that can only happen if you are intentional and making effort.
What areas of your life are you going to work on this week?
For me, my prayer life
Happy Sunday!
If you ask anyone who is into copywriting to tell you a secret to writing high converting copy,
Some will say:
Empathy
Storytelling
Social proof
I will tell you this:
✅ Be conversational
Do you understand?
Want to grab attention?
🟨 Be specific
🟨 Call out your audience
🟨 Identify a transformation
🟨 Address a common enemy
🟨 Use numbers
🟨 Use empathy
🟨 Urgency to make them feel they are missing out
Whether you are into:
Sales, copywriting, designing, affiliate marketing, etc.
You must know how to engage your customers at every part of their journey.
You must create content that:
🟨 Educate them to build trust
🟨 Solves a problem
🟨 Talks about your story
I have a friend whose favorite word is “why?”
He won’t listen to you unless you tell him, "why?”
This brings me to copywriting.
Telling your audience the reason why will trigger them to act.
Are you using scarcity?
Do you want them to act fast?
Let them know why.
Many online creator make this mistake
Overpromising your client only to end up failing to deliver
This will only affect your credibility
In fact, you have failed.
While it’s okay to package yourself online, don’t overdo it.
Instead of overpromising
Focus on over delivering
Showing up online can be overwhelming,
especially if you are combining this with other stuff
– I show up daily on X and LinkedIn
– I write content for clients
– I also write on Medium
– I send outreach to clients
– I am taking courses
Don’t stop showing up!
Happy Easter
I have not experienced a fast growth on X.
It took me a month to move from 100 - 200 followers
I got 18 more followers in 2 days and I lost 5 out of it.
I am not one to talk about followers.
I get so much joy when people tell me they got value from my content
This isn't how you follow up:
‘Hi, I’m just calling or texting to find out if you are still interested…’
It sounds pushy like you don't care.
Personally, it is infuriating, and I still won't buy unless I’m ready.
Make it about your customers.
Many copywriters make this mistake
Taking a project without asking questions
Then, they rely on their creativity and flop.
Before you start writing:
🟨 Go to your client
🟨 Ask questions related to the project
🟨 Listen
This way you don’t find difficulty writing.
This week, I hope you will gain more
🟨 Confidence in God
🟨 Confidence in yourself
🟨 Confidence in What you do
You’re not fully set for the week if you are not going in with confidence
Happy Sunday!
First, it is tough, then it gets easy
It feels like it is taking forever,
But it will definitely work out.
Don’t just stop believing in yourself
Happy New Week!
If you want people to hire or buy from you,
Then you must be ready to help them:
🟨 Save time
🟨 Save money
🟨 Save their energy
🟨 Make money
🟨 Feel loved
Also,
You must have proven that you are better than the others
Are you doing any of these?
Good morning!
Your testimonials won’t get you clients
Your portfolio doesn’t guarantee you a gig
Don’t just sit down thinking you have all it takes
You need to take action.
You need to be persistent and resilient
Be bold to go get what you want.
Go get it!
Wrote a poem last night after a long while. 🤭
“At night, dreams get aborted,
Feasted upon and tossed halfway like a rotten Apple
“Each day stuck with life, abandoned dreams, wiped out smiles, clogged memories
Can’t remember when we last had a good laugh”
Sounds nice?
Last week was great!
🟨 I read my Bible. Started from proverbs
🟨 I dished out valuable content
🟨 I invested in knowledge daily by studying
🟨 I connected with more people on and off X
🟨 My productivity increased by 100% haha
Happy Sunday!
We go again this week. You ready?
I have been intentional about building a brand. . .
Both on X and LinkedIn.
Here’s what I have learned:
– Be ready to play the long game
– Share value for free first
– Keep upskilling to be ahead
– Network with real people
Which one do you want to add?
Never compare your journey with someone else’s
Focus on this phase of your life
Give it your all!
Don’t forget to celebrate your small wins
Did you tweet 7 days a week?Celebrate yourself.
It might seem like the bare minimum,
But it is worth celebrating
Happy Weekend 🥂
Generating content ideas is a lot of work.
It's even a lot of work if you do so daily.
I don't have a content calendar.
However, these has helped me a lot:
1. Have a specific niche
2. Repurpose old content
3. Gain inspiration from other creators
"Day 9 of 14DXGC w/David"
Remember that one time?
That time you:
🟨Created your first account
🟨 Clicked the “post” button the first time
🟨 Decided that ‘this has only got to work”
🟨 Came back motivated after a long break
For me, I feel seen and heard doing what I love
How is it going for you?
When you create content in your niche,
You are not just doing it for your fellow creators
You want to attract your potential clients
But how do you do that on X:
🟨 Show case studies
🟨 Solve problems in your content
🟨 Tell people you are open for collaboration
Want to start a career as a copywriter?
Know this:
You are not a copywriter because:
– You paid for a 50k course
– You watched videos on YouTube
– You saw the Mad Men series
You become a copywriter:
– When you start writing.
Do you agree?
Good morning
Nobody will take a chance on you
If you don’t have:
🟨 The right skill
🟨 An experience
🟨 A social proof
Before you complain, “Oh, I have not worked for any clients.”
– You can volunteer
– You can practice by writing on social media or blogs
Don’t sit and do nothing.
I can’t believe the week has gone by so fast.
Anyway, it was an awesome one.
Woke up feeling good this morning
Today is all about:
– Sabbath
– Preparing for the week
– Watching movies
– Getting enough rest ahead for the week
Happy Sunday!
What do you do on Sundays?
5 emails you want to learn how to write.
🟨 Autoresponder Email to welcome them
🟨 Indoctrination Email to get them to know you
🟨 Content Email to educate your audience
🟨 Sales Email to sell your offer
🟨 Re-engagement Email to target inactive audience
Humans tend to be so defensive.
With their time
With their money
With their attention
This is why you have to warm them up first before you sell to them.
To do this as a copywriter,
You have to:
Address their problem
Empathize with them
Make them see a solution
My dream is to make sure writing works for me
How do I want to achieve this:
🟨Build a strong brand on X and LinkedIn
🟨Connect and collaborate with fellow writers
🟨Write more on Medium
So, I am open to connecting with individuals who want to have a successful writing career
