Gold Teams have arrived in the Peaks and are off for some Nav training. Bags are packed and they are ready to be self sufficient for the next 3 nights.
Head of DofE, Mr Reeve, enjoying a rare trip to the countryside without the need to chase dozens of pupils around. Happy half term everyone.

Thanks to the efforts of the students and the generosity of the College, our friends and families, we were able to raise over 1.4m rupees to support the work of the Tarabai Desai Eye Hospital in Jodhpur. Epsom College has been recognised by the hospital as a major benefactor.
And that's a wrap... wow, what an expedition! Epsom students showed such development over these 4 days. There were such highs and lows, such trials and tribulations. Everything was thrown at them. A huge well done to all. Please now get all your other sections complete!! 🥳🙌💪
All Golds completed day 4. Giving back in some very muddy kit and enjoying some local cuisine. Well done all. Buses due soon. I'll update twitter with ETA asap
All teams are back and are at various stages of tent pitching and supper cooking. Lots of resilience shown tight. Last night under canvas.

Good morning Silver DofE! Groups A-H up and getting camp down before the bit of rain expected later this morning. Lots having enjoyed the early birdsong. High spirits for Day 2.
Teams G,H,I,J,K and L left Lewes at 4.55. ETA 6.05pm. We will update if delayed. That's a wrap. 3 days of adventuring complete. A massive achievement. See you all in class tomorrow!
Teams F, G, H and I had a super tough day with a long diversion to avoid a dangerous path. Some great resilience being shown. Definitely lots of outdoor education today.

Last groups off and on their way up Snowdon. Not all may choose to summit today. Looking forward to seeing which ones include the peak on their routes!
The group have safely returned to the UK from India, but their good work lives on. Today, 160 pairs of shoes were delivered to school children in rural villages, paid for by the students themselves, along with a significant quantity of stationary donated by the College.
Final kit checks have been taking place before the practice expeditions over the Easter holidays! Best of luck to our Silver and Gold participants! 🥾🥾

Members of last year’s U6 attended their Gold DofE award presentation at St James’ Palace today. Over 30 members of their cohort have completed their gold award with many of them attending events such as this. Congratulations everyone!

For the next two weeks, the DofE twitter account is being taken over by the expedition to India. Participants will be exploring the sights and working with the Tarabai Desai Eye Hospital in Jodhpur to support their valuable charity work in Rajasthan.
Day 3: always a tough day on DofE. Epsom students left by 8am in order to complete their routes and maximise rest this eve ahead of final day. Good luck 👍
The weather fairies have decided to test Epsom students today by providing some of the worst rain to wake up to in DofE memory :-( Routes are being kept low and slightly shorter. They're heading to the forest for some navigation testing and some canopy cover.

Groups E-I back at camp. They've conquered day 3. It's an early start tomorrow but these guys are loving Welsh outdoor living right now.
