Many communities do w/out Brahmins & have their own priests. Many armies levied when the need arose consisted mainly of low-castes, e.g. the Gypsies. This was nothing new nor shocking to the Rajas. Govind Singh himself was high-caste Khattri. But do keep the Whatsapp lies coming.

@ElstKoenraad Sikh sources clearly state that the Brahmins and Rajputs of the Hills were concerned at Guru Gobind Singh ji setting up an army composed of mainly median and lower castes and organising a religious practis which did not require brahmins.
