@spmaloney came up only 2,500 votes short in CD17. He ran 2 points ahead of the Gov. in my district. I ran almost 8 points ahead of the Gov. but also came up just short. With a stronger campaign from the top of the ticket, both of us would certainly have won. 9/

After 11 months of campaigning & 2 weeks after Election Day, I can now say that we have won the race for NYS Senate in District 38! We now lead by 1,766 votes w/ 19,000 ballots left to count from overwhelmingly Dem voters/districts. Expect our lead to increase dramatically.

In the heavily Democratic Town of Haverstraw, where Biden beat Trump (61%-38%), the Governor's race this year was a 50-50 tie. In the Town of Clarkstown, Biden won 57%-42%; Hochul lost 49.5%-50.5%. 2/

BIG NEWS First batch of 8,451 Rockland absentee ballots counted today. Won 68% of them! Instead of being behind by 3,149 we're now down just 341 votes! Still ~21K votes in Rockland and ~5K in Westchester to count. Will definitely be in 1st once remaining votes are counted.

@JuliaCarmel__ I think we’re using words differently. There was a ceasefire on 10/7 in the normal meaning of the word in that there wasn’t active large scale fighting. There wasn’t a full peace treaty (which I think is what you’re referring to) because Hamas doesn’t accept Israel’s existence

This is why analysis of NY election results has been so premature. People understood that Trump's election night lead in PA and other states wouldn't hold up once absentees were counted. Not sure why anyone thought NY would be different for Republican leads on E-Day.

When someone calls our office needing help with federal issues like immigration, stimulus checks or Social Security, we connect them with @MondaireJones ' office. When they have someone needing help with NYS issue like DMV, EZ-Pass, or Unemployment, they refer that person to us.

I must have entered the twilight zone. We are going to vote today on a bill to regulate Christmas lights... I'm no Scooge, I love Christmas, I'm voting no. This is a prime example of the kind of busy body bills that come up here that my constituents are sick of.

The #1 concern must be safety of participants, but I believe football poses a lower risk of infection vs indoor sports. It must be possible to balance keeping kids safe & giving athletes the chance to compete.

One of the most shameless displays I’ve ever seen. Clarkstown’s term limit law requires 4 out of 5 votes to repeal it. But 3 Republicans on the Town Board just ignored the law and “repealed” it with only 3 votes—essentially daring outraged voters to sue. A blatant power grab.

Clarkstown Town Board votes 3-2 to repeal term limits, allowing Supervisor George Hoehmann & Councilman Frank Borelli to run for re-election in 2023 pending a court battle. Borelli voted against the repeal after a heated public hearing.
