I am very sad to share that I will need reconstructive knee surgery at the end of the month. This means that I will miss my senior year of High School Soccer. A huge thank you to the Sycamore Soccer Family, the past 3 seasons have been truly amazing. Until next time. 11 out.💔

2 months post op today!!! Range of motion is about halfway back, got to 93 degrees yesterday. I can walk with my brace locked as of right, we are planning to unlock the brace and get rid of the crutch before Christmas. 2 months closer to being back on the field again. 🩷

with injury comes a patience one can only imagine from the outside looking in. The recovery process sucks. But it’s my reality, and I’ve learned to accept that. I’ve learned how to be resilient, even on the days where I have 0 motivation. 9 months down, 4 more to go. ⚽️ soon!

9/8: some unfortunate news to share today. under the advice from my surgeons at @BeaconOrtho , i have decided to go forward with another surgery. this sucks and i am frustrated, but i will work harder than ever to come back stronger. 🩷

7/5/24: I have officially passed all of my functional tests, and I have been cleared to begin a “return to running” program next week! It’s been a long year, but I’m all set and ready to work to be 100% for the fall season!

life update: almost 2 weeks post op. it’s been a really tough 2 weeks but i am that much closer to being back on the field again. looking forward to start bending in therapy this week and working on my quad strength. this will only make me stronger and is all part of my story💚

7/24: Back to the orthopedic today. The damage to my knee is more extensive that we anticipated. My first surgery is scheduled for August 3rd. There is a very good possibility I will need a second procedure about a month after my first one. Looking for ways to stay positive!

4 months post injury today. hardest 4 months you could ever imagine. regardless, we are celebrating a win today because i did 60 leg lifts today, when just a few days ago i could only do 2 without feeling terrible pain. looking forward to being back on the field again next fall!!

7/26: Had my first session of “pre-hab”today! Worked on improving my range of motion, and decreasing swelling and overall pain. Next appt 7/31. Surgery 8/3.

8/30: haven’t done a knee update in a while so here it goes: went back to my surgeon today. he recommended for me to get another MRI and consult with his assistant surgeon before we make any decisions to go forward with the MACI procedure and repeat MPFL reconstruction. (1/2)
