The staffing levels @bostonpolice are dangerously low. We don’t have enough police officers in Boston and we mandate officers work 16 hour shifts frequently. This is having a negative impact on their physical and mental health. This is a public health & public safety crisis!

Constituents have contacted me about two @MBTA issues. On the Blue Line Bowdoin Station, the escalator is not working. On the Green Line Boylston Station, the stairs are extremely steep. Both stations need immediate attention. Accessible transportation is a civil rights issue!

I have advocated for the hiring of hundreds of BPD officers every year to address overstretched resources, forced overtime and retirements. Forcing officers to work fatigued is not the answer. We must work together to provide adequate staffing levels to ensure safe neighborhoods!

This AM my 70 yr old mom, a retired BPS teacher, had her home targeted by antivaxxers. She told them it wasn't my home but they ignored her & kept on for hours. City Hall is open and they can protest there. It's clear the goal isn't protest but targeted harassment and its wrong.
