So long... farewell... see you on Monday! The last full working day for staff at Suffolk Coastal and Waveney councils before they are replaced by the brand new East Suffolk Council next week. Fantastic memories shared - but now on with business: great services for local people.

It's the first ever day of the new East Suffolk Council! Business as usual for the staff of the former Suffolk Coastal and Waveney councils - but a historic day to mark and to remember. #eastsuffolk #localservices #newcouncil

Our conservation areas are growing wild! This is Grange Farm Avenue in Felixstowe, just one of the 40 'wild spaces' in East Suffolk where grass is being left to grow for the benefit of wildlife, especially insects, bees and other pollinators. 🐝 #BeesNeeds

It’s #BeesNeedsWeek 🐝🐝🐝 We have 135 wild spaces in East Suffolk as part of our ‘Pardon the weeds, we are feeding the bees’ scheme, where grass and wildflowers are left to grow until the end of the season to help bees, and other pollinators and wildlife, thrive.

Please do not release sky lanterns during #clapforcarers - as well as being a fire hazard, #skylanterns can endanger wildlife & livestock. The easiest way to show your support for our #NHSheroes & key workers is to simply stand on your doorsteps & clap. 👏
