Do you draw your systems? A guy I work with says 'if you can't draw it, you don't understand it.' Ever since I heard that, I draw all my systems in Whimsical before I start coding. It helps me ensure that I actually know what I'm creating before I write a single line of code.

Coding is easy. Positioning, marketing, roadmapping, validating, bookkeeping, product managing, feature prioritizing, user supporting, time managing, selling, pitching, etc etc etc are hard. Focusing on the latter is how you win. Your code quality doesn’t matter.
