Whilst conducting our patrols, we surprised 5 year old Loki (from a safe distance) and sang him Happy Birthday! Hopefully we brightened up his day in these unprecedented times. Happy Birthday Loki!

We responded to reports of a robbery in the city centre in Chelmsford today. Two juvenile males have been arrested and this awful looking weapon has been taken off the streets...
Say hello to PD Chip 🐶 He helped us by sniffing out drugs that were hidden away in a vehicle on a drugs search. Hero! Big thank you to Chip and his handler for assisting us during their busy shift
@EPDogSection
🤝 3 males dealt with for cannabis possession
Well it would appear that some people just don't fancy the 'New year, new me' thing. We have arrested,charged&remanded an individual that clearly does not understand the concept of 'Disqualified from driving'. Those that are disqual are done so for good reason!
@EPRoadsPolicing
Today, officers went to visit a young boy, Brodie, and in accordance with Covid 19 Guidance, we ensured we stayed at a safe distance and wore face masks! Brodie, from inside the doorway of his home, was able to see our police car, lights and sirens.

1 male arrested for possession of an offensive weapon after wielding a hammer at the bus station in
#Chelmsford
. This is thanks to the single crewed officer who attended this incident and disarmed the male and was spat at for his troubles. He is no longer a risk to the public 👊
The team were busy this morning working with
@BTPEssex
doing a knife arch operation at Chelmsford Train Station. Numerous searches conducted and drugs offences dealt with. Plus a visit from

arrested a male in Chelmsford City Centre for being in possession of a machete and two others for affray, after a male was chased in broad daylight with the weapon. He will face some serious questions in the morning.
Today whilst most of you were ‘locked down’ we were out patrolling and came across a group of people congregating at
#Danbury
Rec. They ran off from us, but PC Grant who hasn’t lost a foot chase in 2 years service didn’t fail us again. We have dealt with two for drug offences.
With the help of our local community, Chelmsford and Maldon CPT have taken this potentially lethal weapon off the streets. We will make sure that this stays off the streets and does not get into the wrong hands!
#OpSCEPTRE
#ONLYCOWARDSCARRY
We attended a Hare Coursing incident today in
#Steeple
. We saw some nice views whilst looking for the suspects. It causes thousands of pounds worth of damage & those who are caught will be dealt with! Which we did today! Now to wash our boots that are covered in mud!
@EP_RURAL
The owner of an alleged stolen bike following the arrest of 2 males on the evening of 26th March 2021 was found by PC Molyneux of

and reunited with his bike. One satisfied customer. 2 males were charged with theft and will be attending Court on Monday.
Our officers were flagged down at around 1pm on Sun 11 June after this lovely Siberian Husky dog was found on its own in the Anglia Ruskin area

Town Team noticed a child was lost at the

today. He enjoyed the ride in the Police car whilst looking for his parents ☺️Town Team officers also found a mobile phone at the Prom. They used their investigative mindset and returned the phone to its owner🕵️♂️
Acting on information, CPT have managed to recover ANOTHER stolen vehicle. We are sure the owner will be very happy. A digger was also recovered and returned to the owner. Police 1 - 0 Naughty folk.

@EPRoadsPolicing
CPT/TownTeam have been out and about. We arrested someone for a serious assault. We dealt with suspects in Custody for drug related matters. We helped someone with their shopping because they could not leave the house. We help people, keep them safe and catch criminals
#forceplan
A proactive stop by
#Chelmsford
officers has prompted in 2 arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a massive amount of class A drugs.
This is why it is important that we utilise our police stop & search powers
#protectingandservingessex
Woof woof! Been all about dogs today! We started by executing two postive warrants at addresses in Chelmsford. One in custody. Our drugs dog was hard at work 'sniffing about' in his search for illegal substances!
The streets are looking a bit empty but we are still out patrolling and keeping people safe. Our Force plan is simple. We help people, keep people safe and catch criminals. We will not stop doing this!
Officers recovered a substantial amount of suspected stolen goods after executing a warrant at a property in

We are truly overwhelmed by the amount of presents that have been donated by members of the public following our recent appeal. An astonishing 645 presents have been donated. THANK YOU
Merry Christmas and let’s continue to spread festive cheer in these unprecedented times!🎄🎅🏼
B-Shift back up in your grill for 6 late shifts. Tonight we have arrested a man in charge of a motor vehicle on a road, who blew 88 at the roadside. That’s a whopping 2.5 times above the legal limit of 35. He will have some questions to answer in the morning
@EPRoadsPolicing
Oh dear... Not a very good start to 2021 for this driver. One male arrested for drink drive after providing an evidential sample of 66 in custody. The legal limit is 35. Just ask yourselves... Is having a few ‘bevvys’ worth the driving disqualification? DRINK DRIVE IS NOT OK❌👎🏼
Last night we helped a swan back to the river who had become stranded on a busy road in the centre of Chelmsford. Officers from your Special Constabulary and Community Policing Team have this evening also arrested an individual for failing to appear at court after being charged
A drink driver who was arrested on NYD has been convicted at court:❗️Disqualified from driving for 18 months❗️£500 in fines. If you drive whilst over the drink/drug drive limit,you will get caught&you will be prosecuted! Is it worth the ban&fine for the sake of a few more beers?
Another driver who is of the opinion that insurance does not apply to them. Well it does. If you drive on the roads without the correct insurance and no licence we will take your car. You will get points on your licence and you will be fined!

@RSPCA_official
can now investigate this matter fully and the owners will be interviewed. We’re sure
@EPDogSection
would be happy with this.
Within the last 3 hours we have arrested a male in

city centre. This was following an earlier incident on BADDOW ROAD whereby items were stolen from a shop and a knife was presented. Some great work from
@ChelmsCouncil
Cat & Mouse.A serious offence took place in Chelmsford where CPT,LPT and a Dog Unit united. The suspects were giving us the run around to start off with.But, the units had tenacity by working together and set the trap running straight into the hands of coppers! Have a ‘mice’ day
We are still sticking to the Force Plan. A warrant was executed at an address in Chelmsford today. Two arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply. More patrols around the district keeping people safe.

📸 Bradwell. Whilst outside St Cedds Primary School the kids were on their lunch break. They were asking lots of questions about policing and were very pleased to see us! It’s very important to us to build a good relationship with children should they ever need our help.
Chelmsford & Maldon CPT. The driver who was arrested for drink driving yesterday has today been charged and will face the Court! If you've been drinking alcohol or taking drugs before driving...we will look for you....we will find you.....and we will arrest you!
Job of the night...
@SINSPChrisGlid
sees a vehicle cut up another on roundabout straight after deploying. Vehicle stopped and male makes off on foot... he’s later found by
@EPDogSection
after a few foot chases and is arrested for being unfit through drink or drugs, but...
Did you know that privately owned e-scooters are illegal to use, other than on private land?
With the rise in the popularity of electric scooters (or e-scooters) we wanted to provide some clear direction around the law and their use.

Great teamwork here from our early & late shift with the assistance of our
@EP_RPU_Specials
. On this occasion our regular officers didn’t have the relevant training to seize the vehicle, but our special constable colleagues did. Proving how valuable our specials are to our force!
Chelmsford & Maldon CPT once again prove that if you lie, you better be good at it. One male today tried to tell us he was his step dad. He called his wife but accidentally called her mum and had her saved as mum in his phone. One vehicle seized for no insurance or licence.

I had a Twitter break late last year. During that time I was humbled to meet
@JohnNicholRAF
, I recall seeing him on TV during his capture and later reading his book. He wouldn’t know this but his talk really resonated with me and the negotiation work I do. I learnt a lot.
Another 2 males were arrested for concern in the supply of drugs. Apparently they had come to Chelmsford for a haircut from the Bedfordshire area. Needless to say this did not seem legitimate to the officers that stopped the vehicle 🤔
The driver also failed a drug swipe 💥
