I saw God today. Olivia Grace Deason 1 pound and 1 ounce 7/27/21 And she’s the most beautiful thing we’ve ever laid our eyes on. To God Be The Glory. I can’t explain how much all the people who have prayed mean to us. It’s going to be a long road, but I’m pumped for the ride.

If you see fit, shoot up some prayers for OG. She’s been on medicine to help with her spitting up her feeds, but they haven’t been working. They want her to be at Childrens in the morning at 8:00. Pray all goes well and the doctors can figure out what’s going on. #FightLikeOG

OG is resting now, she was in some pain and was given some medicine. They had to place the IV in her little head and she has the option of tylenol, toradol, or morphine depending on her pain level. Girl is tough as nails. Love y’all. #FightLikeOG

OG is 5 months old today! We will be headed to Birmingham Wednesday to the BPD clinic. (Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia) They anticipate it being around a 3 hour appointment. She will have a chest x ray and lab work done. Maybe the weather will cooperate. Love ya. #FightLikeOG

Went and said GN to our fighter. Ashley got to change her thumb sized diaper, and we got to see her open her eyes and look at us! They are going to continue phototherapy and begin giving her lipids tonight. They are also going to draw labs and check her bilirubin. Sweet dreams OG

OG up to 8 pounds, 14.8 oz! Had to get some medicine for the area around her feeding tube, but all in all she’s doing great. Feeds every three hours via G tube, day and night. We’re getting the routine down, slowly but surely. #FightLikeOG

OG weighs 4 pounds, 13.6 oz tonight. She is no longer on oxygen flow and she has been able to self resolve her desats so far without it!! She will receive her potassium and caffeine meds tonight. She was able to take 5mL and 9mL from the bottle today. Love ya! #FightLikeOG

Olivia Grace is doing great. They had to insert a picc line into her leg this morning because the umbilical chord was too small. They couldn’t get the central line in. Ashley had some blood pressure and bleeding issues out of surgery, but all seems to be ok now! #PrayForOG

Bilirubin has decreased from 6.0 to 4.7. They will continue the phototherapy for another 24 hours and as long as it’s below 5 they will cease it! Her feeding is being increased from 1.0 - 1.8 mL. Sugar is better and she’s still breathing on her own.

I have been sitting beside a fire pit outside at home with my 5 year old daughter for at least two hours listening to classic rock and talking about everything under the sun, and I honestly don’t know if life could be any better. Being a girl dad is my greatest achievement.

Evening 119 OG had a good day. They’re starting the process of weaning OG off of oxygen. She is currently at 65%. She took 19, 27, 26, 18, and 34mL on her own today. Results from the ultrasound haven’t been sent back yet. She weighs 7 pounds, 5.6 oz. Love ya! #FightLikeOG
