@cratekane @designmom I get up at 5, pack lunch, feed pets, run a mile to take my son to daycare and run the mile back, start work at 7am, work till 3pm, pick up the kid, do the housework and entertain child until 8:30 or 9.... If I wrote for 5 hours after that, Id go to bed at 2am... Men are insane

@zenophelion Crocodilian stress is often found to be reactive (hissing, tail wagging, snapping, lurching). I cant see the tail (maybe intentional) so it can be hard to tell if the animal is stressed or having tempered stress due to familiarity with handling

@zenophelion The eye closing stress response is extremely common in lizards, but it hasnt been determined if it is the same in crocodilians. Having taken a toothbrush to many gators without restraint, you will find any head touching at all will get you closed eyes unless the animal is wary

@zenophelion This is a gorgeous and overall healthy looking animal. Their enclosures and attitude suck butt, but ultimately the animal doesnt appear to be in terror. If nothing else they should be performing this in a quiet, comfortable environment in a large territory

@zenophelion We had a target pad specifically where we would groom and health check our gators. Most came willingly to the spot and did have eyelulls to brushes and even hand/foot checks. Theyre honestly very trainable and incredible animals

@zenophelion But I have seen crocodilians take pokes to the eyeball in a stressful combat (in the case of hazard animals) before closing their eyes after being cornered. Every animal is different and PP should NOT have thos gorgeous galguy on a table for display. But its likely acclimated

Sadly, this is because PP barely has any full spectrum lighting in ANY of their enclosures. She has a pro/con here. Absolutely does bot justify it
