I don’t like that people in academia make their work inaccessible by not using plain everyday English. Over 50%of adults in America cannot read over a 4th grade level. You’re writing about certain groups and their spaces but they can’t understand your work. It’s also ableist.

I remember the times I needed to return home well into my 20s. My parents never asked for money, instead they gave me what little they had. They never asked when I was leaving. They just let me be and built me up. I was never too old or too grown. This GRACE helps. Not hurts.
