Here’s the thing about #UrgencyofNormal … removing mitigation measures does not make things normal. Removing measures means more illness, of kids, of their relatives and it means things getting cancelled due to increased spread. It’s not normal at all.

It's true, babies can't *say* they have myocarditis. Kids can't *say* a lot - like their ear hurts or they have pneumonia. Thus, folks caring for kids go through yrs of training to learn. Maybe ppl w/o that training should think ab it before sharing opinions about kids' health.

I don’t mean to brag, but I never had chickenpox, b/c my parents got me vaccinated ASAP when it came out. I’m the only person among friends my age who was vaccinated instead of infected. I feel super cool & thankful my parents did the best thing for me. 😎👏 #VaccinesWork

Im pretty sure they get it. Also, pretty sure they get that more children will fall ill or die while waiting for your new n. But I guess you know more about clinical trials, statistics, and the care of children than the pediatricians and researchers at the ⁦ @AmerAcadPeds ⁩.

Hot take on "kids die more from MVCs/drownings" as an argument against protecting kids from #COVID : a. Death isn't the only impact b. Protective measures exist for other CODs that we've accepted (seat belts, pool fences) c. If a vax was avail for drowning/MVCs, I'd def recommend

Imagine losing a loved one and having to worry about people you don’t know finding out and using their death to fit a narrative (that you and/or your loved one think is nuts) in a very public way. This is what people have to consider when writing obituaries now. Insane.
