There is no good that comes from a coach speaking negatively about a player to other players. Players may subconsciously start to alienate that person to please the coach. Or even join in on the trash talking to keep from becoming the next target. The alienated player loses

Perfectionism is often used to mask insecurity. You double down because you can’t deal with the uncertainty or lack of control. A much better approach is to get comfortable with some uncertainty. Be okay with striving for excellence while knowing you will likely fall short.

People sometimes think they need to make big changes to make progress. I walked 5 miles while working today. Since buying a walking pad in 2022, I walk 2,000 more steps on work days. Doesn’t seem like much… but in 2023, that was ➡️500,000 more steps ➡️200+more miles

I’ve been the captain of teams, coached girls sports, & lead organizations with hundreds of people. I’ve found one thing to be true for sure. No one cares about your title & accolades. They will not let you lead them until they know you care. Leading is serving others.
