I grew up thinking that genocide was when people looked behind every rock or tree for somebody to kill. I now learn that it's when there's a war with an unfavorable kill-to-death ratio. To end the genocide, Israel must disable the Iron Dome to even up the count a bit.
@Sturgeons_Law
I hate to be the guy, but the apostrophe is appropriate in this case. For clarity, the writer may include an apostrophe. The alternative is "Walzs" which looks like it could be a separate Polish last name.
@asv141
If you think of the things a middle class person with 2 kids would reasonably want: decent house, a modest vacation each year, money for the summer camp/kids karate/hockey/dancing/or whatever, two reliable cars, ok retirement, and so on, $100k a year is not enough.
@focusfronting
IQ (which is a proxy for general intelligence) is highly predictive of important life outcomes. Those who have IQs below 70 typically require assistance with basic adulting as understood in the West. If this can be said about the typical person in a country, then it's conceivable
@mistergeezy
The Arab community stays perfectly silent during the numerous actual genocides and massacres of black people in Africa. So here you go: "You support [black] genocide. [Black] genocide does not upset you."
@SMTuffy
It was a good book. Well-written and thought provoking. There are some provocative areas that will poke at your values and assumptions -- but they allowed for me to more easily make sense of what we see in the world today.
@NYGDaily
Guys, allow me to explain this joke: Aaron Rogers is good. Jordan Love is not very good. It follows that Giants fans want to find ways to disqualify Aaron Rogers from playing.
@focusfronting
One of the many chemicals in McDonald's Shakes has profound antidepressant effects. This discovery is based on my own epicureal research. I don't know if it will help in your case, but it's worth a shot.

And yet the Israelis airlifted many thousands of blacks into their country to save them from persecution and death. Israel has thriving black communities.
@TrueAnonPod
I get there's an anti-cop angle, but I just see this as elitist height shaming. Being 5'4" and getting zero respect your whole life is the one understandable reason one might become a police officer.
@mamainflats
@Sturgeons_Law
Yes, but in my opinion, Walz's is superior because the meaning of the phrase becomes unambiguous. Walzes is just as plausible of a last name as Walz to most Americans.
@focusfronting
I've never been to these places. I know they're agrarian and their GDP is basically the sum total of the natural resources they export, suggesting a dearth of intellectual capital. Quality education is causally linked to higher IQ, so that's probably a major factor if the average
@feraus_theboss
@ashira_solomon
Ok. So you were definitely lying about Israelis being racist. Good to know. I'm sure now everything you now say can be regarded as truth
@bathbinch
@Sturgeons_Law
Because Walz is such a rare last name, many, including myself, don't immediately connect that "Walzes" is the plural of Walz rather than a different last name.
@BarakRavid
Pretty obvious to me that this was the intention all along. They never claimed that the hospital itself is the base, only that the tunnel infrastructure underneath it is, and we know they aren't going into the tunnels.
@Noahpinion
Having listened to Chapo for the past few months, I can tell you they never once revisited their absolute conviction that being mean online is a successful electoral strategy
@Robillard
The Dakotas are the same exact state. Identical in every way. In fact, each person in one state has clone in the other. The only difference is the direction the toilets flush in.

I live in NJ, and I know people in his district. We're sick of this pettiness.

Can you at least pretend to abide by basic journalistic standards? You cite a number from an unreliable source that you know doesn't distinguish between combatants and non-combatants.
@NAChristakis
Jesus. It won't make a lick of difference in the long run, but Lord of the Flies is a book sometimes assigned in psychology classes. The group dynamics from the book can be cross-culturally observed.
@NFL_Memes
Unpopular opinion: Metcalf wouldn't be nearly as productive for most teams in the NFL. He happens to play with the best deep ball passer in the league.
@sethmoulton
We're at the point where I am starting to form a negative impression of every new entrant. I feel like you're burdening me with decision fatigue.
@TwinsFanTrisha
@Sturgeons_Law
I'm not saying it's technically correct. I'm saying it's appropriate if the writer feels that the apostrophe disambiguates who something.
@yashar
Honestly, this is the best thing you can do for a dog: make him feel like he has a purpose. No amount of treats, play or exercise will beat the opportunity to "save" his owner.
@JordanUhl
All they have is this stupid platform that would greatly expand health coverage. Why are they not also hysterically yelling at random people?
@grizzrhys
@MikeIsaac
It's going to be very difficult to prove. For one, the timing makes it pretty obvious that Musk wants to clean house. Two, Musk will have to find some area the execs were negligent in -- and even then, it would need to start in HR. Musk is just trying to save face publicly.
@nothing_thank_u
Yet you offer full-throated support for 22 Arab ethnostates that have ethnically cleansed their Jewish and Christian populations. Israel has 2 million Arab Muslims who share equal rights to Jews.
@SwannMarcus89
President's effect on the economy is ultimately a matter of judgment. Which is more likely to surround themselves by qualified people and heed their advice.
