Happy Halloween! It's a miracle I got this done in time with how busy I've been this past month, but here it is!
"Eva trying to scare kids" was the winning audience suggestion in this year's Halloween art poll. Thanks to everyone who participated, it was a lot of fun!
Unfortunately, Roll's passion for bread far outweighs her passion for learning.
I finished this one ahead of schedule, so I decided to add some shading. Then I realized this joke art is the first time Roll's ever gotten shading. So I guess that makes this a milestone lol.
Lily is a young nun with a bit of an unusual problem...her existence is an affront to God.
An evil spirit tried to possess her corpse, thinking she'd be an easy target. But this plan completely backfired. Now Lily is back from the dead with the evil spirit stuck as a passenger.
@fridaydevils
Instead of beating the reboot horse, I just wanna say I really like these designs! The style is faithful to the original without being overly beholden to it. And I like how their individual styles seem like a natural progression from when they were kids.
A kind patron (and many others) requested more "plus-sized" characters. So here's Eva back from the dead.
She's the only girl on my main roster who's gotten (almost) zero attention since her debut 3.5 years ago. But surely she's still been keeping busy during her hiatus...right?
I know I said I was too busy to participate, but I couldn't resist. I decided to really explore the whole "parasite" element of the character...and this is what happened.
And for my character, I figured Lily would be fitting, since she has her own kind of "parasite problem".
After the last piece I did with Eva and David responding to fan mail, they got a lot more. Sorry for pretty much only drawing these two lately, they just got real popular suddenly lol. But maybe if the other girls get some fan mail / questions, they'll give some responses too. 👀
Finally finished my biggest design project yet. This is Lina, an innkeeper and an old character of mine. She's about 10 years older here (early 30s) and finally learned to be comfortable with her body and much more confident.
A direct follow-up to my previous mini comic. I honestly felt a little bad for Eva with how much David ripped her apart last time. So I thought I should give her a chance to tell her side of the story and set the record straight.
@Sheerup_Box
Can confirm, as an artist, I worry way too much about my own stuff looking perfect in case someone zooms in 500% and sees that misplaced pixel I left there. Then I look at other art with wonky anatomy and stray lines everywhere and I'm just like "yes, this is good art🙂".
They're pretty late to
@Nikingply
's nun bun recruitment drive (it's really hard to get a bunny costume when you don't have any money). But Lily is determined to see those nun bunnies, even if it kills her...again.
(Also, definitely check out Nikingply's art, it's REAL good)
I wanted to join in on this whole Sailor Moon thing, but I decided to redraw a frame that speaks more to my heart. I also tried to do a hybrid of the original style and my own style, and it ended up being really fun.

#commission
for
@Nox15499866
of their anubis girl, Ankarama. She's still getting used to the modern age and she has a fascination for video games. Her favorites are resource management and strategy games...though her large paws make precise inputs a bit difficult.
@PorcelainMaid
Not really a "monster fucker" artist (though it sounds like that's not what you're actually looking for anyway lol), but I am a monster girl artist. Character design is my main thing, and these are a few of my girls.
A slight update to a fan favorite, Roll the harpy! Now with wing speckles and a short introduction. She looks kind of sparkly now.
She got separated from her family at a young age and now lives on the streets of a human town, performing for food and shiny objects.

@ClickAgain
Painfully true lol. I'll spend all day wanting to work on art and having all these ideas that I can't wait to try out, then I finally get time to sit down and draw and all of a sudden it's just like "..........huh, I sure do have a hankering to do anything other than art."
Some full outfit concepts for Uyo, the snake priestess. Many yuan-ti have the ability to go full snake form, so she avoids outfits with sleeves or anything else that would look silly or otherwise wouldn't work on a snake. I'll be finishing her up soon.

Still working on those sketches of Lina in different outfits and poses, but I got the first one done and wanted to post something this (long) weekend. So here's a teaser.
@Sheerup_Box
I've come to learn over time that it's not necessary for art to be perfect, as long as it has a strong visual identity and looks appealing. Some of my favorite artists draw messily and have wonky anatomy, and I often find immaculate and perfectly accurate art to be a bit boring.
@coeurlclaw
I choked reading that last sentence lol.
For real, though, I totally feel how embarrassing it must be for some people, because I used to be the same way. So I straight up put in my commission info that there'll be no judgment from me, because I've lived that experience too.
Took a short break from art to catch up on other stuff, but now I'm back with another big project in the works.
I thought it'd be interesting to create a guide to Uyo's religion, kinda like what I did with my slimes guide (QRTed below), complete with pictures and everything.
I recently realized that I've posted plenty of pinups and character designs here, but I’ve never posted something that shows off what I’m TRULY good at...massively overthinking things that would never cross a normal person's mind.
(See the comments for the rest of the pages)
It's a day late due to an unfortunately timed power outage at my place, but here are the two most requested characters for the
#Halloween
art, Lily and Uyo. Most people just asked for the characters and didn't specify a costume...so I came up with my own ideas.
The final piece from the October requests, it's a combination of 2 requests:
@speck_big
: "Roll casually hanging out with some pigeons in a tree"
nightengale1028 (DeviantArt): "Roll eating her favorite food"
Thanks to everyone who participated!
Happy Valentine's Day! And also happy anniversary to Uyo's big redesign from last year.
To celebrate, here's the 11-page guide Uyo created to teach everyone about her religion. Though English isn't her native language, so she had to get some help with localization.

This is Roll. She's a songbird who sings and plays the harp with her bird feet. You could call her a bird bard, a harpy harpist...or just Roll.
She got separated from her family at a young age and now lives on the streets of a human town, performing for food and shiny objects.
Yo! My main shtick is character design, my own and other people's. A lot of mine are characters from D&D campaigns that ended up finding a life of their own outside of D&D. I also do fan art and short comics sometimes as well.

I guess today's the 7th anniversary of my Twitter account, and I'm real close to the big 1k which is kinda wild. So I just wanna say thanks to everyone for following me, sharing my art around, sending fan mail, making awesome fan art, and just enjoying my funny little characters!
Achieved another childhood dream the other night and 100% completed Sonic Adventure 2. Actually not nearly as difficult as I feared, but still pretty hard.
But more importantly, look at my wonderful chao daughter. Some of you may notice she looks a lot like a certain someone...
A
#commission
for
@JustcallmeGuze
of their wendigo girl, Yepa, living in the wilderness. Unfortunately, it's pretty hard to stay warm during the winter season when you're as large as she is...and don't have access to warm clothing.
Another
#commission
for
@Congruentshapes
of their girl, Coraline, who I previously designed for them. She's grown out her wool a bit to keep warm for the winter, and freshened up her style while she was at it.
For the first time ever, I've got a
#commission
of one of my own characters.
Dawn's very lonely because of how scary she is, so
@readonlymona
wanted to see her get some love for a change. And Dawn's going to enjoy that affection for as long as she can.
Was digging around some old art folders and found some sketches from a couple years ago that I never posted of Dawn, one of my older characters. So I decided to touch 'em up a bit and give 'em some colors!
Harpy Holidays, everyone! In the festive spirit, I've got a commission for
@MisterCaw
of their crow tengu girl, Akemi, dressed as one of Santa’s reindeer. And to anyone who caught the pun...I’m sorry.

A
#commission
for
@Lord_Neko_
, who wanted a cheshire cat girl and let me come up with the design. I ended up coming up with a few different color variants, and there are a few more in the comments.
A partial character design
#commission
for portbaron of their sweet and cuddly bumblebee girl, Norah. She's rather self-conscious and recently took up yoga because she's worried her abdomen may be getting a little too "fluffy".
#monstergirls
#monstergirl
Early design concepts for a zombie character I came up with years ago but forgot about until one of
@kurdlez
's characters recently jogged my memory. I wanted to use a different art style than what I normally use, and I like what I came up with. Expect more of her in the future.
A colored sketch character design
#commission
for
@Docplz_
of their gator gal, Maybelline "May" Smith. I love all the fun concepts my clients give me to make character designs out of.
There's also two extra color palettes I designed as additional options for the commissioner.
Lina has a very motherly personality and wants her inn to feel like a 2nd home to its guests. But running a bar requires a "no nonsense" parenting style.
I wanted to do a simple sequence for fun because I feel like I just design characters but don't really do anything with them.
Some more concept art for the still unnamed zombie nun character. I figured I'd experiment and try some different looks for her main outfit.
As always, feel free to let me know which look is your favorite, or which specific elements you like, because I might also mix and match.
Flat colors

done for portbaron of their Scottish bandersnatch character, Abbie, along with a few extra expressions. Thanks for commissioning!

So Vampire Survivors updated a bunch of character sprites, and one of them now looks a lot like my character Lina, somewhere between her original and current designs. No way there was actually any inspiration from Lina, but I can still pretend she's in the game lol.
I've always loved seeing all the BG characters in the Spooky Month cartoons, so I'll nominate Lily to be a
#SM4Guest
, since she fits the spooky theme best out of all my characters.
@CRAZiECRiSSiE
I actually love how the apron and frills are like bushy white facial hair, like the kamui has kind of a stereotypical butler look while being a maid uniform lol.
Early WIP of that
#DnD
cleric character from before. She's an albino yuan-ti who was treated as an outcast because she was thought to be diseased or cursed. She turned to religion in the hopes of finding a cure to her "ailment", and through that, found her true calling in life.
This one's for
@TooWeeb2Weeb
who asked for Dawn grinding out the TF2 Halloween event. I played a bit of the event yesterday after having not seriously played TF2 since college or high school, and I feel like my skills have dropped all the way down to poor Dawn's level lol.
A character design
#commission
for Aleph of another of their characters, Aura. She does her best to keep things nice and orderly. But her life is, unfortunately, a bit more chaotic than she'd like.
Some warm-up doodles I've been doing of Uyo, my snake priestess character, while I've been working on commissions. As always, lots of flavor text too, because I love sharing pointless details about my characters.

Refined line art for Uyo, the snake priestess. I wanted to push myself to improve how I do cloth wrapping and draping. I also wanted to give her a more "wild" look, since she's been an outcast since birth and as a result, she turned out a bit...strange.

And to follow up my previous post about Stefán Karl Stefánsson, here's the production process on that Robbie Rotten digital painting. He was such a fun guy to draw, due mainly to his incredibly expressive face and the extreme personality he was able to give to the character.
I did a full model breakdown of Koori to show how a VTuber model is made and uploaded it to my Patreon, along with all the development art from her design process. But I thought it'd also be cool to show you guys one of the more complex parts of the breakdown for free.
That art I did of Dawn recently got me thinking that I should give a design glow-up to another of my earlier characters, Lina. I'm still working on it, and I'll have plenty of development art from this project to post on my Patreon later this month, but here's a preview for now.
It always makes me really happy to hear I've inspired people to make cool stuff! Actually, the first harpy character I ever designed was a mailbird, but the only art I have of her is in one of my old sketchbooks that I've lost. So here's Roll as a mailbird instead!
A belated piece for
@Giolove1234
's request of Lina in fall attire (as evidenced by the fact that it's no longer fall). It's easy to forget she's supposed to live in a fantasy setting, but for whatever reason I just really enjoy the idea of modern fashion on fantasy characters.
Like I did with Uyo, I'll just go ahead and put all the process images I did for Lily in a short comment chain here.
Starting off here are the original design concepts for her, setting up her core concept and exploring some more specific paths for what she could be.
An updated version of Ren. I've still got a bit more to do, but I'll share what I have so far.
She was a delinquent who wanted to be a superhero in her younger years, but she ended up just causing more problems than she solved. Now she's grown up and given up on that old dream.
A commission for
@FloridianHydra
of their kikimora girl, Leliana, dressed as Damsel from Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. I'll be honest, shading the fur was the hardest part of this (I guess I don't draw fur a lot), but I think I figured out something that looks good.
As promised, I'm back to working on the guide to Uyo's religion. To celebrate, here's another WIP, this time of the cover page. I originally wasn't even planning on having a cover page, but I really like how this is coming along.
And here are some later concepts figuring out more of the specifics of her look, namely the style of her hair and clothing.
Feedback from my followers and even just random people looking at my art was very helpful in making these decisions.
@rdt_lm
I know most people are talking about how funny the joke of the comic is, but I'm just here like "man, these are some really interesting shots and compositions". I especially like your clever use of high and low camera angles in this one.
Some of my friends informed me they were starting a
#Minecraft
server where everyone would live their lives completely underground. This inspired me to try my hand at making a skin for one of my characters that happens to be perfectly suited to skittering around in dark caverns.
Got a DM from a follower asking about Dawn and how her powers work, and I thought I'd share my responses since a lot of the info isn't public knowledge
Slight design update for
@7192_ch
's avatar, 7192, who I originally designed in May of 2020. She's a "completely normal cat thing from the void", and also a vtuber. And I've gotta say, she looks extra nice in motion.
#Vtuber
#ENVtuber
First batch of Patreon doodles. One of my patrons asked me to draw some of the kids from
#Psychonauts
. I still haven't played the game, despite owning it for years on PC, so I need to get around to that soon, lol.
@NintendoAmerica
64 and TTYD are still some of my favorite games of all time. And my favorite memory's gotta be Lady Bow and her antics in 64. Such a fun character (and fun to draw too).
@kroovv
My friends also gave me endless shit for this character I made for a D&D campaign. I wanted her design to show a scarily powerful, unchecked desire to unlock the secrets that magic holds, by any means. Turns out the designers of LWA, which I'd never seen before, had similar ideas
A bunch of hairstyle concepts for the demon-possessed zombie character.
I won't be doing a proper poll for these, but definitely leave a comment if you have a favorite, because your input may influence which one I choose!
(There's a comment below talking about the poll results)
She probably fits into the
#OLverse
about as well as she fits into a standard cubicle (not very well). But she IS canonically an office lady. So I figured, why not?
Also, shoutout to
@poch4n
for starting this whole thing. Check out their art, it's great!
A character design
#commission
for portbaron of their sea slug lady, Clora. This was one of the more challenging designs I've done.
I also did some nude variants for the client to show off the patterns on her skin, which I've censored for the public.

#monstergirls
I also carry the same mindset over to the visual design of the characters. If possible, I always try to design visual elements of the character to communicate something about who they are, rather than just arbitrarily picking something that looks nice. Here's some examples:
