My mother was diagnosed with Hodgkins Non-lymphoma when I was 17. I stopped attending High school and for a solid year and I "learned" how to pray from my pastor and his wife. If I hadn't my mother would be dead. She is 71 and I am tutoring her while she completes her Master's.

I kept my handicapped, sick child home from school so he would not infect others and I could take care of him. My entire household became terribly ill. Truancy stepped in, I immediately withdrew him. I could, nor would I ever vote for someone who punished parents for truancy.
