This tournament must be one of the best in Iga's career. After a tough defeat at US Open and her performance in Tokyo, here we saw the new Iga. You watch the matches against Sorribes, Linette and Samsonova and it seems like we saw 3 different players with 3 different styles.

Swiatek adding extra to her serve by changing her service motion at the end of 2023 to make it more compact is a testament to how she keeps getting better as dominant as she is. Hit many first serves today in the 110-116 mph range. Average speed when she won RG last year was 101.

What makes me most proud of yesterday's match is how Iga stayed mentally so strong. Being constantly behind on the scoreboard puts a lot of pressure on you and she knew how to manage it very well. One of, if not the most complete tournaments she has ever played.

Best Swiatek match of 2024 without doubt. I know this court suits her so well, but we saw an Iga with much more confidence compared to Australia. She was attacking the ball a lot and so well. Everything worked today. It was a pleasure to watch!

Very solid and complete match from Iga. She was hitting the ball so well and the serve was better than yesterday. I'm happy with this performance. And as I said a couple days ago, she is getting better and better at the net + she feels more confident with the slice. Great to see!

Absolutely no.1 reaction from Iga after losing that first set. Her game in sets 2 and 3 has been almost perfect, patient and not missing, she stayed calm and focus, that was great from her. I'm so happy and proud of seeing her in Madrid semis for the 2nd year in a row.

Iga has 5 different WTA 1000 titles, 2 different GS, WTA Finals... It's true that she could have almost all the big titles, but reaching these levels at 22 is very crazy. If someone had told us at the end of 2021... We should focus and value what she already WON.

I haven't been able to get data from AO 2023, but comparing the speed of Iga's serve in the other 3 Grand Slams, you can see the difference specially with the 2nd serve. Her serve still has a lot of room for improvement (placement), but we can see a progress.
