Unemployment is low only because 'involuntary' part-time work is high

If "involuntary" part-timers were classed as "unemployed" — because they are unemployed for most of the week — then UK unemployment would be 7%.

cloud systems transform deployment processes. It becomes possible to enact instantaneous changes on a global scale. Speed above all other imperatives. Checks and balances (staggered releases, rigorous testing ) get eroded. An organisational failure rather than a technical one.

my beloved mentor passed away recently. everytime i sit to write my dumb brain is like, can't wait for her to read this. they say kids don't have the capacity to comprehend the permanency of death. neither does my adult brain.
