🗣 "We're placing a lot of emphasis on raising awareness and educating people about hate and the harm it causes. I'm really proud of the plan we've put together."
Today, Kate joined partners from across Greater Manchester for the launch of our new Hate Crime Plan.
Partners across Greater Manchester will be co-hosting free events across the region during Anti-Slavery Week (14-20 October), to raise awareness of Modern Slavery and help people spot the signs to prevent more victims being exploited.

GMP lead the way with firearm recoveries ⬇️
We've recovered more guns than any other force in the North West, accounting for 58% of all recoveries in the region. For each gun that we recover, that’s a potential life saved or firearms incident prevented.
Today marks the start of National Hate Crime Awareness Week.
The clue is in the name, hate crime is a crime. It’s unacceptable.
No one should live in fear of being attacked or abused because of who they are.
