I don’t know who needs to hear this, but when I discovered Twitch, I knew no one, had nothing and streamed to 1 viewer for YEARS. There were MANY days I thought ‘what’s the point?’ But thinking about all the friendships I would have missed out on if I had quit keeps me going.♥

Can we be happy for content creators wanting to grow their platforms instead of seeing them as being ingenuine or greedy? There wouldn't be raised eyebrows at any one else wanting to see growth from a hobby or career they were investing time, energy and money into.

Being a "low spoons" content creator, networking is tough. I'm a silent supporter. I see tweets but don't always reply. I watch streams but rarely chat. There won't be a memory or moment for people to recall. Sad truth is, If no-one knows you are "there", it's like you weren't.

From just seeing my thumbnail in the Twitch directory, certain people will have made their mind about whether they will want to watch me or not, and no they weren’t looking at the gameplay. That’s what I mean when I say I have to fight and work harder to keep up with my peers.

Reminder: When you invite people to discord group DM's, everyone can see the entire message history... I felt gross seeing my name thrown around based purely from a numbers perspective. I know collab's are useful to extend reach but damn talk about ME as a person, at least once?

ADHD affects our lives a lot more than people realise. What may look to you as "speaking too fast" or "can't stick to one game" is something we're having to fight every fibre of our brains to stop. Paired with social anxiety it's DRAINING. We're trying friends. I'm trying.

As it's Pride awareness month (in the UK), after years of dancing around conversations, today I said "I'm gay" at work. As LGBTQIA2+ folk we are CONSTANTLY coming out to people throughout our lives and it doesn't get any less nerve-wracking bracing ourselves for a reaction.
