On July 1 officers executed a search warrant at a residence in Dedham. An assault weapon, ammunition and other items were seized. An arrest warrant was issued on July 2 leading to the arrest of a 25 yr. old Dedham resident to be charged with multiple firearms charges.

This afternoon, Dedham Police Detectives were conducting surveillance and traffic enforcement in an area of recent complaints of drug activity. A motor vehicle stop was conducted for an inspection sticker violation and attaching number plates.

A motor vehicle stop for speeding yesterday yielded the recovery of this firearm with defaced serial numbers and ammunition.The suspect was charged with firearms charges, drug possession, speeding, and providing false information. There is one less illegal on the streets today.

This condition might not be in the owners manual. A vehicle was brought to a local repair shop due to a "check engine" light. This groundhog was found tucked away in the engine compartment. Animal Control was able to free the animal and send it on its way.
