Here we are. The last main Direct was on September 4, 2019. 531 days later, a new Direct announcement was made for tomorrow, February 17th. Just wanna thank everyone along the way since the day I created this account. I never thought I would get over 5,000 follows in over a year!

OFFICIAL: We've hit 177 days, which is a new record without a general direct in the Nintendo Switch era. This surpasses the 176 day drought, which lasted from September 13, 2017 to March 8, 2018.
Fans: Can you give us a General Direct?
Nintendo: Here's a Smash Direct.
F: No, I said General--
N: Here's a Pokemon Direct.
F: Those are cool and all but how about a Gen--
N: Here's an AC Direct.
F: losing patience, one last time. General. Direct.
N: Indie World Showcase?
I'm getting more convinced that the Mario remasters rumor is fake. I don't care if verified and reliable sources are saying it's true. It's been almost 4 months since we first heard about it, and it seems like too much to do when Nintendo does not want to release 1st party news.
These are the consoles in Sakurai's living room:
- Nintendo Switch
- Wii U
- Xbox one X
- PS4 Pro
- PS4
- PS3 Slim
- PS3
- Famicom
- Super Famicom
- SNES
- PS1
- Mega Drive (Sega Genesis)
- PC engine (aka TurboGrafx-16)
- Neo Geo
So tell me this. Will we have a conversation about how there's too many Pokemon characters in Smash, IF this rumor turns out to be true, like how we complained with Fire Emblem, or is it a different way around because its a legendary franchise?
If Sakurai is considering an early retirement, I don't blame him. This man deserves a retirement for all the hard work he has done (and accomplished) over the last couple of decades. It would be sad, but I would happy for him at the same time.

Watch here:
It has been one year since the last major Direct. Just wanted to create this meme even though we got the Mario collection so I'm pleased with what we got and I'm not complaining. On that note, happy one year.
NINTENDO INVESTORS MEETING:
*start*
- "Do we have anything new to announce for 2020? Were gonna lose money, I'm concerned."
- "No. We're gonna bank the year on Animal Crossing."
- "Good our other major franchises won't have games for quite some time. Let our fans suffer."
*end*
Today's tracker (8/1/2020):
332 days since a General Direct.
12 days since a Mini Direct.
40 days since the last Smash presentation.
15 days since Paper Mario: The Origami King was released.
124 days since the Mario remasters rumor was first reported that I don't believe.

46 days since a Mini Direct.
1 day since the Mario Direct.

Probably nothing at the rate its going. Call me a pessimist if you want, but Nintendo doesn't appear to be ready to announce anything major to the table with the work from home hurdles. I understand that delays happen and if they have a preference to work in the offices.
Today's tracker (8/16/2020):
347 days since a General Direct.
27 days since a Mini Direct.
55 days since the last Smash presentation.
30 days since Paper Mario: The Origami King was released.
139 days since the Mario remasters rumor was first reported.
I honestly wish Nintendo could come out and say that the June Direct was cancelled, instead of leaving us hanging. I would think Microsoft and Sony would come out and announce when it comes to rescheduling events. I do not understand the silence, and its odd.
On 7/20 we'll debut the first
#NintendoDirect
Mini: Partner Showcase, a series focused on titles from our development & publishing partners. We'll share a few updates on a small group of previously-announced
#NintendoSwitch
games. Check out the full video release at 7am PT.
Prediction:
The Mario remasters will be part of a new, optional tier of Nintendo Switch Online that costs extra. Unlimited access to all of them but no option to buy any of them outright. The one exception will be 3D World, which will be a standard $60 port.
There is no need for arguments or insults here. If your purpose is to abuse in the replies, you're getting blocked. Getting triggered over a counter is ridiculous. There are more important things to worry about right now. This is my only warning.
The Mushroom Kingdom teams up with two classic games for even more fun! The Monopoly Super Mario Celebration Edition and Jenga: Super Mario will be available 8/1.

I know some of you are telling me about this major Direct "leak" that's supposed to happen on July 20th. Remember, take any rumor with a grain of salt. Wait for an official announcement from Nintendo should it happen. Be optimistic and be cautious.

Today's tracker (7/20/2020):

I have only one question: Where the hell was Mario? It felt a little bit empty without him. It feels strange without anything Mario, and now we'll be waiting until likely June to see something with that. This might be the latest time we're gonna hear about a Mario game. IDK.
I think Nintendo it is a huge risk to not hold a Direct in June (Yes, there is a pandemic). Considering both the PS5 and XSX are still on for a holiday release at this point, I think Nintendo could get hurt by not having any news at all. Investors will walk away. (1/2)
Uncertain restock? Look, I get that its a limited time thing but you would think Nintendo would make more than just one batch of physical copies especially with the high demand it has. You would think maybe a couple rounds even. Especially with the game being on sale until March.
Controversial hot take: There will come a time where no Mario game comes out in 2020 due to COVID-19, but 3D World is likely happening at some point.
*Tbh I get less and less confident every month*
