I was honored to receive a visit by
@SergiyKyslytsya
, Ukraine’s Ambassador to the
@UN
, and Iryna Mazur, Ukraine’s Honorary Consul General in Philadelphia.
According to Mayor & DA, if you have a legal gun & carry permit, you’ll be arrested & prosecuted for walking in the park. But criminals w/ illegal guns & no carry permit are not being prosecuted. Mayor’s executive order is illegal & D.A. illegally criminalizes law abiding people.
Now that the election is over, I have time to go to brunch with Heesun. It’s been a longtime since we’ve had time to ourselves. We’re at Booker’s on Baltimore Avenue.
My sister, Grace, passed away last Sunday. We buried her on Thursday, next to our mom & dad. She was born with a severe form of Down Syndrome & was constantly in their thoughts & prayers. She was their favorite, by far. She was a source of happiness & a reminder of God’s love.
A wonderful young man and police officer. I met him on a few occasions and enjoyed his optimism and enthusiasm for his work and his community. Gone too soon. Now, we must ensure that his young family is provided for by the very University that failed him.
@officialTUPA
The results of a policy of ignoring illegal guns, “minor” crimes, illegal drugs & violations of public safety laws by both the Mayor & D.A. is the escalation of violent crimes & reckless driving including homicides, shootings, assaults, carjackings & home invasion robberies.
I’ve lived on the same block in Southwest Philly since 1963. Through hard times & bad times, I never left. Today, my wife & I & our 4 children live here. I’m stubborn like that. I’m faithful like that. I’m hopeful like that. I’ll be a different kind of Mayor like that.
Mayor appointed Police Commissioner. Mayor approved tear gas. Mayor blames police. Mayor fails to take responsibility. Mayor let his staff take blame. Mayor accepts their resignation. Mayor settles case with public funds.
As Mayor, traffic laws will be enforced. Drones will be used to inform police where to block roads & sidewalks. Drag racing cars, illegal ATV’s & dirt bikes will be impounded, ticketed & stored at owners expense before being crushed.
I emailed a letter to DA Krasner requesting that he identify the law that requires covering up the memorial, as well as, the law that prohibits further explanation. I look forward to receiving a written response from
@philadao
. People are entitled to an honest answer.
@MarkFusetti
@PPDCommish
I have said many times that all criminal laws, public safety laws & motor vehicle laws will be enforced if I am Mayor. Violators will be arrested & their vehicles impounded in accordance with the law. If the DA does not prosecute, I will seek prosecution from the PA AG’s office.
Next Mayor must fully staff & rebuild
@PhillyPolice
into the finest department in the nation. All criminal & public safety laws must be enforced. 911 calls must be answered immediately & officers on the scene quickly. Intelligent, courteous, responsive police services for all.
Intentional refusal by elected leaders to police, protect & enforce all the laws that keep people safe from crime, reckless conduct & violent criminals, is not criminal justice reform. It’s a failure of responsibility and the reason Philadelphia is a city of murder and tragedy.
Freedom does not exist in a vacuum. Just as no individual can be free all by themselves, so no nation can be free all by itself. Freedom loving people and freedom loving nations must stand together.
#StandWithUkraine
You cannot solve a problem you refuse to acknowledge. Violent criminals are not the victims. Victims of violent criminals are the victims. So is everyone else. All criminal, public safety & quality of life laws must be enforced so that the public protected.
Back when it was popular to “defund” the
@PhillyPolice
, 14 Council members signed this letter. I did not.
@PeopleforParker
did. She also voted for a budget that cut $33 million from the proposed police budget. I did not. At the debate, I’d like to ask her what changed?
@JoeHoldenCBS3
This has to stop. Police are instructed by the Mayor’s Administration not to enforce the law. That has resulted in this escalating problem of reckless driving, no insurance, intentional disregard for public safety, likely possession of illegal firearms & potential violence.
In 1988, I resigned from
@philadao
to join the Army. When I returned, I did free legal services for a year before starting my law practice. A few months later, I was activated for war. The war ended before I was deployed. In February, I resigned from
@PHLCouncil
to run for Mayor.
I met Heesun while visiting Korea in 1999. I didn’t see her for 7 years. She came to visit in 2006 and we got married. Today, we have 4 kids. It’s not been an easy life for her. I take the hard road, time & again. She’s carried the weight. But we’re very happy & very blessed.
Lots of support for me all across the city. People want change and a fresh start for Philadelphia. If you want to turn this city around, please vote. Press button

I’ve been contacted by television stations about debating
@PeopleforParker
. I’ve agreed to all. So far, she has not responded. Why not? It’s important that both Mayoral candidates appear before the public to debate & answer questions about our solutions, history & qualifications.
As Mayor, the message will be sent loud and clear…this is not the same city it was, yesterday. All criminal laws, public safety laws and traffic laws are being enforced. Do not come here to violate the law.
Right on time. The social media trolls appear and the mudslinging starts. It’s a welcome sign that my campaign is doing well and my opposition is worried.
So,
@PeopleforParker
accepted only 2 requests for Mayoral forums but neither are debates, as originally requested. Both events have separate arrival times & separate speaking times. Why hide? Let’s appear together, explain our policies to the people & answer their questions.
I look forward to leading the Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia as its new President & CEO. At
@AACCGP
, “Your Success Is Our Business”.
Every dollar going into the drug trade in Kensington funds more violent crime in Philadelphia.
If we want to stop crime, we must clean up these corners.
Read where I stand on crime in our city:
This election for the next Mayor is too important to end on May 16 with a candidate receiving around 75,000 votes in a city of 1.6 million people. That’s why I entered this race. People deserve more than 90 second answers to critical issues about complex problems that the next…
Did you know
@PHLschools
will no longer observe
#VeteransDay
by closing schools? Instead, it will replace it with another day. Are those your values? They’re not mine nor the mass majority of Philadelphians. As Mayor, we will honor our veterans.
As I continue to fight violent crime in our neighborhoods & public transportation system where the victims are overwhelmingly black, there are privileged white people claiming there is no problem with crime and that efforts to increase public safety is racist.
It doesn’t have to be this way. Murder after murder. Crime & violence. People living in fear. But it won’t stop unless people vote for real change. Stop voting for labels & symbols. Vote for a leader who will enforce the laws & make our city safe.
#DavidOh4Mayor
As Mayor, illegal guns will not be tolerated in Phila. If the
@philadao
does not prosecute illegal firearms, I’ll ask the PA Attorney General to prosecute them. I’ll also ask the AG to deputize a unit of City lawyers to prosecute illegal gun cases.
I’m a former Philadelphia Assistant District Attorney, so I’ve actually fought crime and know how to effectively reduce murder and violence in our neighborhoods. On Tuesday, November 7, vote for a proven crime fighter as Mayor to lead our city to safety.
#DavidOh4Mayor
The next Mayor will lead this city’s effort to dramatically reduce deadly violence and lawlessness. As Mayor, I will appoint the person best qualified to be Police Commissioner. Someone who served in
@PhillyPolice
and has the respect of both the police officers and the public.
The next Mayor must increase revenues without simply relying on over taxing & penalizing residents, workers & businesses. Create good jobs & opportunities. Put money in people’s pocket rather than take it out. And stop funding failure. Deliver success. Is that too radical?
In your heart of hearts, you know this city needs real change. Don’t let this opportunity to clean house, make our city safe and make our government serve the people, pass us by. Vote for

This lawlessness & murder has got to stop! My thoughts and prayers are with the officer killed in the line of duty, the officer shot in the arm and recovering, their families and loved ones, and the entire

@KeeleyFox29
Violent crime is the No. 1 issue facing our city. Please, for all our sakes, elect someone who actually knows & supports law enforcement. That’s me. I’m a former Phila prosecutor. I served 3 terms on Council advocating for good policing & public safety.
In 1985, I was sworn-in as a Phila Assistant DA by District Attorney Ed Rendell. I also received a Human Rights Award from the Phila Commission on Human Relations. In 1988, I enlisted in the US Army and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in 1989.
I’ve agreed to all requests by media & community groups to debate Parker. So far, she has not responded. I will attend these debates, with or without her, to explain my plan to make our city safe, reform city government & solve our most serious problems.
@KeeleyFox29
It’s up to the people of this city to put a former Philadelphia prosecutor who advocated for law enforcement throughout his 3 terms on City Council, in the Mayor’s office to lead the fight against crime and violence. We can’t continue with these failed weak on crime policies.
1985-1988: I served in the
@philadao
under two different District Attorneys, DA Ed Rendell and DA Ron Castille. In 1988, I resigned from the DA’s Office to serve in the US Army.
I’m running for Mayor to stop the violence so we can focus on rebuilding our communities, improving our lives and creating a better, brighter Philadelphia.
#DavidOhforMayor
I met with this young lady & her mother. She was shot in the face a year ago by a random shooter & lost an eye. A few months later, her boyfriend (father of her 2 kids) was murdered. She has received little to no help from our City. That has to change. Don’t forget the victims.
This televised Mayoral debate is for Democratic candidates, only. I cannot participate. That’s why you won’t see me there. But I look forward to debating in the General Election after the primaries are over on May 16.
#DavidOhforMayor
Debates are for the benefit of the people. I want to explain my plan to turn this city around, make it safe and bring us to new heights of achievement and prosperity. My opponent
@PeopleforParker
, does not. That’s why she is avoiding debates.
Looking forward to tonight’s Latino Town Hall, 2310 N. American Street, 5-7pm. Unfortunately, I’ll be the only candidate to attend but I’m glad to speak with residents and answer their questions.
I was outspent 10-1. I made the most of the $500,000 I raised which mostly came from came from regular, hardworking people. I’ve ended up with campaign debt, so please help me pay down this debt by making an online donation. Thank you!
I continue to urge the Mayor, D.A. and Councilmembers to enforce all criminal and public safety laws, including motor vehicle violations, by arresting, prosecuting and appropriately punishing those offenders.
When your computer is stuck on stupid… you hit the reboot button. Philly politics is stuck on stupid. On Tuesday, November 7, hit the reboot button. Vote for
#DavidOh4Mayor
and make government work for you.
This city desperately needs real law enforcement from a Mayor who will lead from the front & work tirelessly. One who has experience in law enforcement, is committed to public safety & upholds the Constitution. There is only one candidate for Mayor who meets these qualifications.
Here’s the official
@PhillyGOP
sample ballot. Note that the endorsed Mayoral candidate, DAVID OH
#108
, is not included. I don’t have an opponent so I’ll win. I am a very independent-minded person. As Mayor, I will make the sweeping reforms this city has needed but not received.
@CBSPhiladelphia
When this city’s top elected officials tell the public that they don’t enforce criminal & public safety laws but instead prevent police from enforcing the law, crime & public safety violations go up. Focus on the criminals using the illegal guns. As Mayor, that’s what I’ll do.
We have to hire 1,300 police officers. The number of patrol officers per 100,000 is the lowest since 1991. On the campaign trail, candidate Cherelle Parker
@PeopleforParker
promised to hire an additional 300 police officers. In 2021, 364 police officers left
@PhillyPolice
.
As a former Philadelphia prosecutor & Council’s strongest advocate for law enforcement & public safety, I have the knowledge, experience, work ethic & credibility to stop the wanton violence & make our city safe. On Tuesday, November 7, please vote for
#DavidOh4Mayor
!
It is far more humane to enforce the law than ignore the law.
Who thinks letting people die on the street in
#Kensington
is better than getting them the help they need?
I agreed to debate
@PeopleforParker
but the debate turned into something quite different with separate arrival times, separate waiting rooms and separate speaking times. Why hide?
Good policing & law enforcement is the most immediate way to reduce violent crime. Making people feel safe & confident in their criminal justice system reduces violence & retribution. Allowing lawlessness & confrontations due to lack of enforcement, increases guns & violence.
