The US has less government in healthcare than any other developed nation. We also have the most problems in healthcare, spend the most, and get the least for our money. It’s almost like when all parties are trying to maximally extract $ from the patient, that has an impact.
@caitlinmoriah
Absolutely. This attitude of “*I* alone did it, *I* am amazing, and *I* can make you amazing too” is absolutely baffling to me.
Highlighting their own “greatness” and not the people who helped lift them up along the way is an immediate turn off for me.
Data on cancer incidence and death rates through 2021. COVID vaccines had EUA in 12/2020.
No uptick in cancer incidence or death. No “turbo cancer” (a made up term that doesn’t exist). Antivaxxers get it wrong yet again.
@jakeshieldsajj
No, a bivalent vaccine is replacing the monovalent vaccine. That means it covers 2 strains now instead of just 1. The “half amount” is just the standard booster dose for Moderna. Pfizer’s dose is unchanged.
@BrynnTannehill
It also appears that a transgender person simply signing along with a song they like at a bar could qualify under this law.
This despicable law is meant to suppress transgender existence, not “performance.”
UPDATE: the Uvalde killer was engaged by law enforcement outside the school *BEFORE* he went inside.
More cops at schools: not the answer.
Arming teachers: not the answer.
@Kevin_McKernan
Your primers bound in multiple locations in the SV40 promoter, the smallest product being ~20% of the whole promoter, making your qPCR data uninterpretable.
If you can't even get primer design right, what chance do you have for the rest of it? What a joke.
I believe the term “leadership” is often misused in academia. Too many believe it’s about accumulating personal accolades, resulting in people competing & jockeying for position while focusing only on themselves. Far too few see it as an opportunity to focus on & serve others.
You might want to wear black for this debunkers obituary.
All of these folks came out strong arguing these points. As they have been proven wrong, they never correct their tweets. Just move goal posts and keep harassing people. No humility in light being fried.

Kevin is so bad at science that he designed primers that bind multiple locations within the SV40 promoter, making his qPCR data uninterpretable. His other quantification method (Qubit) was hopelessly inflated by the RNA in the sample. Most of his data are likely artifact.
@mfcannon
Can you provide details on this “innovation” in insulin you speak of?
I’m sure all us physicians and scientists would love to learn about this magic from someone primarily motivated by political grievances.
@saltylungs
“If you had infinite resources, what would be your first initiative to improve the workplace?”
Frames it in terms of a positive (fixing issues), not a negative (airing grievances). IMO you’re more likely to get an honest answer when framed this way.
@naomirwolf
This has always been asked of anyone who gets evaluated for a fall due to increased chance of bleeding.
This is standard of care. It’s really not that difficult to comprehend and isn’t a conspiracy.
@mfcannon
Thanks for the generic buzzwords.
How *specifically* has production, distribution, delivery, formulation, or shelf life changed on the generic insulin formulation that hasn’t changed in 40 years?
Don’t forget to be specific.
I had an MRI recently. The hospital charged over $12,000 for it.
Twelve. Thousand. Dollars.
Healthcare inflation is unsustainable and, ultimately, completely unethical.

customer service rep to rep. None were willing to resolve the case & few even read the file. Escalatation resolved it after WEEKS.
@Kevin_McKernan
You’re claiming that primer was functional in your PCR?
Did you run your PCR with an annealing temp of 37°C? Because that’s the Tm of the overlap.
For all of Kevin’s followers that don’t know better: that’s about 20°C lower than most PCRs. That’s never done. His PCR was 💩.

@Kevin_McKernan
’s data is completely useless. DNA is perhaps one of the easiest things to measure in all of biology, and he screwed it up royally. He couldn’t even design his primers correctly.

When I was a resident and had a female attending, patients would sometimes turn to me after she spoke and ask for me to validate what she said. I would say “Dr. X, who to be clear is my boss, has outlined a great plan for you. Do you have any other questions for her?”
@NGrossman81
By SCOTUS’s interpretation, couldn’t a supermajority of 1 party simply bar potential candidates of the other party from running for the Presidency?
How does placing responsibility in the hands of nakedly political actors make this a more fair process?

Qubit was used to measure RNA by Pfizer, not DNA like you did. Your readings were contaminated by the massive amounts of RNA in the sample, as many others have pointed out to you.
See, it’s this kind of sloppy work that leads to the research products you produce.
@violetkathyw
@jakeshieldsajj
Extensive safety trials have been done in humans. This appears to be the paper you’re referencing? There are nearly 200 groups compared in this paper, each of which have 8-10 mice per group. They did just fine. No problems.
@DrRupaMarya
It’s pretty easy to see why once you realize who the customers are who purchase the EMRs.
It’s not the MDs who use the software. It’s the administrators, who are more interested in capturing every billable dollar. They couldn’t care less if it makes our lives easier.
@DrJenGunter
When the kit is used inappropriately, as he did, false positives can result. Using the correct buffer supplied with the kit is essential. Water is NOT an acceptable substitute.
This paper debunks the disinformation this guy is spreading.
@thomaschattwill
4 intelligence agencies say likely zoonotic, 2 are unsure, 2 claim possibly lab leak with differing degrees of certainty.
The fact that you pick the 2/8 shows your bias, not science.
More importantly, virologists who study this overwhelmingly think it was zoonotic.
@weldeiry
Kevin never showed any standardized quantified DNA amts until this preprint. He claimed vaxx was causing cancer, immune reactions, etc.
However all DNA are *below regulatory limits.*
He’ll spin it and never apologize for misleading people and claiming it was dangerous.
@charlesmurray
@mbeisen
@arbelharpak
Your entire argument boils down to “I accounted for everything I could think of, so all remaining differences must be genetic.” Instead of recognizing that your models are incomplete & aren’t capturing all the environmentally relevant variables, you point to genes. Fair summary?
@engineering_joy
This K99/R00 timeline biases toward postdocs who walk into a project that was 1/2 completed, allowing them to have prelim data on day 1, and biases against those who start with an idea.
Do we want more systems that benefit large/rich labs that have more data sitting around?
@Kevin_McKernan
Not to mention you pick the one that’s more likely to be contaminated by the massive amounts of RNA in the samples.
You refused to use RNase in the analysis bc someone else didn’t use it? That makes no sense.
@NGrossman81
It’s parsing of the word “sanitation” in the law that is completely ignorant of it’s intention, or of infectious disease or science generally.
She stated “Wearing a mask cleans nothing.”
Wrong. Masks clean the air.
@molsjames
Hey Mollie, I’ve only talked about COVID vaccines, which is a sector I don’t work in and by companies I don’t work at.
Or do you think I would “shill” for direct competitors? Didn’t really think this one through, did you?
@Kevin_McKernan
T7 is directly relevant to the in vitro transcription reaction, which is used to make the RNA.
EMA regulators state the whole plasmid sequence was submitted and the SV40 promoter element is not relevant to the final product. Your biased opinion is not relevant.

I’m a Rad Onc and I spend 90% of my time on molecular oncology.
The kind of attitude that forfeits over basic research on mechanisms of oncogenesis, tumor microenvironment, IO, etc to other specialities will land Rad Onc in trouble.

If you think that demonstrating to your LGBT patients that you provide a safe place to seek care is “political,” then you have no business practicing medicine.
Don’t you think they could be, as you say, “hurting, terrified, and anxious” because of attitudes like yours?

Physicians fill many rolls in the healthcare system aside from individual patient care. Arguably the most dire need in mental healthcare is at the systemic and policy level. He will be well poised to address that. Bravo
