I’ve been told that @HartleyFC are speaking to another manager so I’ve decided to leave. I enjoyed my time at the club and wish everyone well. Football is tough sometimes and although we were flying until Feb it was a tough end when we didn’t strengthen. Learn and move on

My first non-league pre-season for a long time and it's been tough. Trying to play through the pitch, getting players to commit with jobs, family life etc.. but when it starts to come together it's rewarding. And good to see players so positive afterwards.

Big three points. Christchurch were very good in and out of possession. Will be a problem for a lot of teams this season. We need to be better with the ball but until we lost Ben to a nasty tackle we were good going forwards and could have had a couple more. Def were huge.

It was interesting to see how OL played with a single pivot in front of a back three and how the two players either side bossed the half space where Pep was hoping Sterling and KDB would dominate. Also encouraging to see Denayer and Marcal tracking front foot into that space.

Wow. That was a hard earned win. FA cup is always going to be hard but @farehamtownfc had us on the rack and without putting the game away when we could, we had to rely on resolve/determination for a clean sheet. crowd and support for @alresford_town was brilliant again 👏👏

2 really tough games in a week with Ascot. They put you under huge pressure. But with 7 teens incl. one in goal making his debut against that pressure and winning both. Massive kudos to the kids!!!👏👏 Played better, sometimes it’s more than just what’s done on the ball, It’s 🧡

Good 3 points on a very difficult pitch. Good possession if a little numb first half. Ashford had a good go second half which offered us more space and we were more clinical. Ashford never gave up and pushing to the end. Delighted for @AdamPayce for his goal and @Conor_Lynch09

Bloody hell non-league is hard. Players pulling out in the morning and night before a match. I was away for a while but it was never like this. Players can’t wait to put a gram of their boots with there fucking initials but don’t want to play the game. or I’m a non league Jose.

Brilliant game tonight between @tottonelingfc vs @AFCB_Academy . Superb first goal for AFCB but otherwise tightly contested. Totton lads were a credit to the club. 3-0 final score. AFCB played some brilliant stuff. They also have a player that truly makes me smile.

Wow. Not great but 2-0 up at half time. Then excellent to 3-0. A couple of mistakes and a change of pants then back on course and finished well. We’ve all been in games when momentum has turned and for the lads to take the initiative back shows great bottle. UTR 🧡

Dylan came in last minute after it didn’t work out at Dorchester, and at a perfect time with a few lads moving on. He played well against Totton midweek and then was excellent on Saturday scoring twice and an assist in 45 minutes. Technically sound and tactically astute

Played some good stuff tonight against an excellent side that’s been built over time. Need to keep focusing on performance, and the results will come. Work rate was there, possession was there just not decisive enough in either third but that’s the hardest part.

Quick turnaround for Will, a GK who was top of our list who we thought we had lost, but managed to get over the line in the end. Got great feet quick across the ground and great handling, Will has been so confident from the first minute stepping in. 🦡

Excellent game with a very good @BemertonHeathFC . They were very organised and it was hard to find real control but a draw I think a fair result. Thought the disallowed goal was tight but probably had the worst view in the ground. Expect another tough match on Tuesday.

Finally got a result we were due. Been a difficult run of tough games but we managed possession and defensive resilience yesterday along with a little bit of creativity. Really young side against a top team in Stoneham. Performances have given us enough hope. @alresford_town

First week down of pre season with @alresford_town didn’t get a few we were chasing, got a few. Had the balls out and great to back with the lads. @Basingstoke_FC news, and Kristian getting a pro in Bulgaria also bringing a positive feeling. Can’t wait for the season now

Good win at home today, weren’t at our best but Northwood made it tough for us, and even though we scored early we didn’t really get going. Better possession second half and kept them at bay with 3rd clean sheet on a row. Really tough games coming up so good to get 3pts UTR🧡

Thought we were good today. Passed really well, controlled game and conditions well in the end. Unbelievable effort from ground staff to get the game on. Thought @GuernseyFC were excellent, safe journey back and look forward to doing in again abroad.

What a performance. depleted, took the game to the 💰 and win with kids was up there with our best cup final wins in my lifetime. Endo was brilliant, Elliott was class but Ibou and Virgil are Rediculous. Van Dijk was unbelievable throughout. To see him live is a privilege

Fantastic performance yesterday with @alresford_town played some brilliant football had to be patient against a well organised side but some of the stuff played in the second half was superb. It’s taken a while but on tough pitches we can still play.

Not suggesting Portchester were full strength but we are missing so many players, and the lads playing, giving so much week in and week out. Mikey came on and offered pace down the right, Harrison made his debut and with Jesse, Ben, Steely hopefully coming back we can kick on.

Abysmal display from everyone. Players missing and running on empty but no excuses. Binfield we’re superb and showed the spirit that’s required to compete. You can’t beat Badshot who are excellent and loose today without some soul searching. I hold my hands up as always.

@PremLeaguePanel 100% agree. Thought he was class but when carrying the ball through midfield how many times did he have no runner ahead of him?? So frustrating. Gets grief for playing backwards and sideways but maybe we need to look at the problem not the consequence.

We felt very aggrieved with referees at the weekend, however I have no desire to shame him on here. He didn’t have a good game, but neither did I. Veo is great for non league clubs but public shaming of refs will not help the game. That’s not the purpose of the system.

Fantastic club and staff. So pleased they stayed up. Testing circumstances but really enjoyed our trip yesterday and hopeful for another one next year. Late summer or spring ideally. 😉

Boss time in Madrid. Chaotic. And I’m battered but meet so many top people. Madrid was brilliant and the people from the workers in bars to locals were brilliant. Embraced us 100%. Probably helped by nocking Barca out. Even ended up singing take that to some fella in a night club

Tough to take when you play so well. Became a bit desperate for 15 after half time but got control back and in equal measure not taking chances and Downton defending brilliantly. Performance is good, better than Saturday so we go again. Focus on bothe ends of the pitch
