Safety is a top priority of the Dallastown Area School District. Based on investigations and incidents occurring elsewhere, rumors are surfacing in our school community. Please know we investigate all reports, but currently there is no level of threat in the District.
Dallastown alumnus, Tyler Zahos '20, got a surprise last week, when it was announced a photograph of Tyler will be featured Saturday in the annual National Down Syndrome Society's Times Square Video presentation in the heart of New York City.
On Monday, January 24, Coach Franklin from Penn State University made a personal visit to DAHS to connect with Junior Wide Receiver, Kenny Johnson. Coach Franklin also spent some time greeting Dallastown staff members and took time out of his day to take photos.
This evening the DASD School Board of Directors elected Dr. Joshua Doll as its next Superintendent of Schools, effective January 1, 2020. Congratulations Dr. Doll!

8th grade student, Sophia Rodriguez, broke a WORLD RECORD this weekend! Sophia broke the two mile record that was set in 1979. As a result, her picture was displayed on a billboard in Times Square this past weekend! Congratulations, Sophia!

The Wildcat Nation mourns the loss of Benjamin Hines, Class of 2006, one of three Marines killed in Afghanistan yesterday. We send our deepest sympathy and condolences to his parents, family, friends, and fellow Marines.
Dallastown Area School District will be dismissing early today (Monday, January 8, 2018) with the following schedule: Grades 7-12 at 10:55 a.m.; Grades K-6 at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will not be served. All afternoon and evening events and activities are cancelled.

For the past 20 years, Middle School students have placed flags on veterans’ graves at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. This year a group of staff placed the flags for Memorial Day.
DASD celebrates high school student Daniel Z. for earning a perfect score on a college-level Advanced Placement® Exam in spring 2021. Daniel was one of only 335 students in the world to earn every point possible on the AP Computer Science Principles Exam.
Commencement for the DAHS Class of 2018 will be held at 6:30 p.m. on American Legion Field at Wildcat Stadium. Gates open at 4:30 p.m.

Update: There is no cost and students do not need an ID for the grab and go meals. Grab and go meals will be available to all students beginning Mon., Mar. 16. They can be picked up at Dallastown High School, Door 4 (located next to the loading dock by the stadium) 11:30a- 1p.
The Commencement Ceremony for Dallastown Area High School's Class of 2018 will be held Friday, June 8, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at the Dallastown American Legion Field at Wildcat Stadium. For inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the high school gym & other interior locations.
The Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2019 is scheduled for Wednesday, June 5th at 6:30 p.m. at American Legion Field in the Wildcat Stadium. The inclement weather location will be the high school gymnasium.
Dallastown Area School District will have a two hour delay for schools and offices on Friday, November 16, 2018.
