The business of farming is a dirty and tough one, add power, currency and labour issues, we'd still do it again. It typically takes 7 years to get get any cropping or livestock program running. I'm grateful to have the opportunity it has made us more resilient in other sectors.

Half full glass, Zimbabweans are building even without mortgages both locals and those in diaspora. New kit has started to arrive to increasing our capacity to serve that market. The quantum of roads that need fixing is huge we need better and bigger finance models to execute.

You cant visit the farm and not spend money either livestock program or some electrical issues with pumps or solar, this is our land reform legacy problem I enjoy. The next generation will hopefully do better than I've done but I've enjoyed trying.

Hondo yeminda! As barely crop matures end of winter we get ready for summer tobbaco and maize. Even in the midst of the pandemic with so much sadness the farm can't wait. The harvest knows no sorrow or happiness we have to deliver. I pray for all those who have lost loved ones.

Night Shift, four 24hour sites non stop, great opportunities if we deliver, pay our stuff well, keep plant and machinery running optimally, keep suppliers and stakeholders happy. One would think it's easier to buy and sell, until you study retail financials in SA and Zim.

So in 2007 i got the farm with my white truck and now my son thinks it not so cool but I tell him this the farm "ancestor", we lost ancestral home in 1891 when whites built Tanganda Tea Tea estate with the pioneer column, and when I wanted it back RGM said no.
