BEST EVER GCSE MATHS RESULTS! Congratulations to our Y11 students. Their GCSE results maintained the significant rise in grades achieved last year. The record breaking performance of students in Maths was particularly pleasing, with 67% achieving at least a standard pass-Grade 4+
It's Remembrance Sunday this weekend. Sadly we will be having to pay our respects a little differently this year.

Ms Hadlow collected a Special Recognition Award for DSLV today on stage at the E-ACT National Celebration Event. This is in recognition of our Good Ofsted result received earlier this year.
This trophy represents our wonderful children, staff and community, well done to you all.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We thank her for her service and send our deepest sympathies to the Royal Family at this difficult time.
We are so proud of the incredible achievements of our Year 11 cohort, who have collected their GCSE results today.

The percentage of strong passes (Grade 5+) rose 9% in English and 7% in Mathematics in comparison to the previous year. The percentage of students achieving solid passes (Grade 4+) in both English and Mathematics increased by 5%.

Here is our KS3/KS4 CoachBright programme in action. Y10 students act as coaches to Year 8 students supporting them with English and Maths. Y10 coaches are also working towards a leadership qualification. Students will graduate at the Uni of Birmingham.

Due to adverse weather conditions and the continuing snowfall making travel hazardous the Academy will be closed to all staff and pupils on Monday 11th December.
Today we have launched our Brilliant Club programme at Jesus College, Oxford.
We have enjoyed a study skills session, campus tour and Q&A session about university. Our students have had a fantastic day. Looking forward to our tutorials next half term.
