That’s not right. There’s a sharp edge on the long end of the straw for penetrating the seal. That’s why we use it this way, not because we all collectively decided to do it ineffectively.
@NetHistorian
You have to pay taxes on unsold inventory at the end of the year. So it’d be like saying hey government, I’ve got $100,000,000 in inventory you may tax me on. When you’re actually only selling it for $1,000,000
Finally after about 500 hours of work across a month and a half Pink Gorilla Capitol Hill is finally open!
You know how hard we work to make this place happen. But without our customers this wouldn’t be possible. So thank you!
Where should the 4th store be?
This is our original location. We’ve been there 17 years. It’s a major Seattle tourist attraction. Relocating would be heartbreaking and financially devastating.
To be transparent the stores are very profitable. The robberies mean nothing financially. I have no idea the amount taken nor do I care.
In short, we will not be doing a GoFundMe despite recommendations.
We’re now building a new additional store safer, bigger & better than ever
We greatly appreciate the feedback heard over the past weeks on how to support our business. We're happy to direct patronage to our selection of merch on our website or our livestream sales held on Twitch. Thank you so much for your kind messages; we couldn't do this without you!
Lots of people dunking on DKoldies for various reasons most especially excessively high pricing.
It’s so bad it seems as though the only people who would buy are people who don’t know any better. It just feels like tricking people who don’t know better and ruining a fun hobby
Regular customer we've deemed "RPG Granny" stopped by our new Capitol Hill location for the first time. Turns out she watches the Twitch stream too. Everyone was hype to say hi to her, she's a viewer favorite.
The Twitch community has helped the store in so many ways over the years. It's totally crazy to think about actually. Thank you guys for being part of the community. I award you all employee of the month.
Recap: Guy tried to sell games in store with no ID. NO
Guy returns claming we had stolen his games.

Finished setting up the lighting at the new Capitol Hill location. This place really pops you can’t miss it from the street. B4, after, and street photos below
Next step is new flooring which arrives on 11/30
One time a customer was trading in a Nintendo DSi system. While testing all of the systems functions I pulled up the camera app. The first photo was a nude picture of the dude standing in front of me. Poker face was engaged harder than pocket aces.
Today was my very first twitch con as a vendor. It was a great success and I hope to attend next year as well. Thanks everyone for stopping by! We love hearing so many compliments about the store that we all work so hard on.
New front window display. Half of the window now is just used to let people see inside for the summer. The other half is a display case packed with some popular items we sell. It feels more inviting.
New neon sign for the stores. Appears a little weird in photos because that’s how neon is but it looks beautiful.
Says Pink Gorilla in Japanese.

Wow! Our grand opening at Capitol Hill was huge. Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. So many stream viewers stopped by and so many kind words expressed about the final result. Thank you customers both in person and live on Twitch for stopping by.
✨ Coming soon: Pink Gorilla Capitol Hill! ✨
We’re excited to announce a brand new Seattle location to get your video games, cards, gifts, and more! Come see us at 613 E Pike St, January 2023
We forego signs around the stores a lot of times because folks don’t read. Case and point; guy asks, “yo is this just $90 for the PS3 or does it come with a controller?”
All this stuff we would sell in store for $1100 total. If he got $700 and a switch that’s $1050 which is terrible for the store. If he just got $700 that’s still not outrageous. Not amazing but not insane.
I've started up a new podcast called Game Store Stories. It's all about the crazy stories from the floor of retail game stores. It's the most popular portion of my livestreams now in podcast form with guests.
First two episodes are up now on all platforms.
Did a lot of interviews regarding the break ins. Want to be clear that the International District / Chinatown neighborhood is safe, fun, full of good people. Just in case it’s reported otherwise. We’re just being targeted by a couple chumps. Last thing I’ll say about break ins.
I don’t want to hurt this person. They need help
I’m not asking for money. I worked myself to death for 12 years, saving and investing to get to this position where I never have to ask for money again.
Seattle’s not bad. Neighborhoods have their tough times. But I love the ID
Last chance warning. If you have any interest at all in Wii stuff get it now before the prices spike. The nostalgia cycle is affecting Wii stuff big time. Can’t keep anything in stock for more than a day or two.
