Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signs into law changes to the Elliott Larsen Civil Rights Act, adding protections against discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity and expression.

Democratic lawmakers want to create a 100% refundable tax credit for money that Michigan's unionized workers spend on union dues.
The legislation was among a group of pro-union bills introduced a day after the House repealed right to work.
So far, roughly 21,200 people have voted uncommitted Democratic ballots -- outstripping organizers' 10,000-vote goal.
From what I can tell, that is with few to no votes added yet from Wayne County, let alone Dearborn.
During today's sentencing, Nassar told the judge he was ashamed and had lost everything because of his actions. He called his child porn crimes a "skeleton in the closet" that he's been battling for years.

During a Lansing press conference announcing US Rep Elissa Slotkin is submitting the requisite number of signatures to run for US Senate, protestors gathered outside holding a sign with the Palestinian flag that says “Slotkin stop the genocide.”
NEW: Michigan lawmakers today are announcing legislation that would allow student-athletes to benefit from use of their name, image and likeness.
The bills would allow athletes to receive compensation from third parties and contract with an agent.
