This is clearly an example of a non football fan joining a bandwagon (or a football fan ignoring the evidence). I donโt like it, but England fans have booed opposition anthems for as long as I can remember. I donโt like it, but blaming it on Brexit is crackers.
The minority of English fans booing other countriesโ national anthems at the Euros is another of the multiple downward lurches weโve taken as a country since the Brexit boors dominated our culture. We take the knee: we donโt boo. And we end as better winners.Gary Lineker is right
