Playing college ball is a blessing...doesn’t matter if it’s D1, D2, D3, NAIA, or JUCO. I wish I had some eligibility left, I’d bet on myself no matter what level but most important getting an education.
I never vent on social media but can’t sleep. I didn’t lose just an Aunt...I lost a person who believed in my vision and supported it. Like a second mom she was there from little league games to finally see me at the college level and living my dream. 💔😢🙏🏽
I was damn near homeless chasing my goal in football. I remember I slept in my car at the stadium when I first got to Indiana State until a few people on staff helped, was eating rice and beans until them team meals kicked in but that was part of MY PROCESS!
😢💔 I’ll miss this group...I’ve been with these guys for 3 years and the amount of adversity they’ve faced is unreal. They came back every day...These will be great men as they move forward in the next phase of life. Thank you seniors!

2021 class has been the hardest recruiting class I’ve ever worked with...All the challenges, less spots available, and all the road blocks. No matter where you sign today best of luck to guys in the future.
I have every rejection letter from schools that didn’t look my way for a job but it didn’t stop me. Kept comparing myself to my peers and not trusting the process that God had in store for me. Instant gratification will lead to instant disappointment.
Back in October of last year my cousin had a bad asthma attack...He had ups and downs with relearning how walk and talk. He was determined to get into the pool and he’s only been out of the hospital for a month! 🙏🏽

😂😂 I love when parents tell me I haven’t done anything to help their son in the process. Little do the know how hard I work behind the scenes...🤷🏽♂️ can’t please everybody.
Recruits I’ll say this until I’m blue in the face...Everybody’s process is different! Some guys pop early and others takes a little patience BUT don’t rush it!
When it comes to helping athletes in the recruiting process...I don’t care about credit or saying I got so and so to a school. I do it for the KIDS...A place they can go for 4 years, play they game they love, and get a solid education.
If you are a football person please join the challenge of posting a football photo. Just one picture, no description. Please copy the text in your status, post a picture, and look at some great pictures.

As much as I love the game of football...This week is about me and taking some downtime for myself. Just spending time with family and getting some much needed rest.
Day 3, I was nominated by
@CoachNinoDBE323
- Everyday I will post a picture of a day in the life of an educator/coach. I will post without explanation and nominate another to take the challenge. That's 7 days, 7 pics, 7 posts. I nominate
@CoachDiedrick
Probably the best birthday I've had in years and now I have a new baby cousin that shares the same birthday. Blessed 🙏Thanks for all the birthday wishes!
Recruits 2022 and below I challenge you guys...Do the research on these schools (coaching staffs and players on the roster), Ask questions (not just offers but in the process in general), be proactive, and have an open mind in the process. 🏁
PSA's be patient with the recruiting process...everything isn't going to happen overnight. Just because your teammate is getting offers now doesn't mean you will too. Be patient the right school will take a chance on you.
Had a college coach from IA reach out last week still looking for 21'...He said coach the athlete won't reach back out and had a great offer for him...Don't burn bridges in the process young guys!!!
I wish some days folks could step in my shoes and just experience a day my world for one day...From full-time working and coaching. Long days & nights🤔 time to start a Vlog?
So many want offers...but instead of learning about the process and educating yourself about this recruiting process...especially now it's mainly digital. You give up and get down on yourself. Keep grinding!
I told my niece if she behaves in school I’d get her the Disney playhouse toy she wants. She told her mom to take a picture and tell me she’s been good 😂. Love her to death!
That same D2, D3, NAIA coach that you keep ignoring, could very well be at a D1 school before signing day. Don’t be surprised if he ignores you when he makes the jump. Build relationships across all divisions!!
Haven’t been on social media in a minute...One of the best decisions I made back in ‘08 was join and help this chapter build. 11 years in the game this year!
Recruits, stay on course! Keep grinding in the books, getting workouts in, reaching out to coaches...This virus is a unknown for all of us. Control what you can control!
I’m truly blessed with good family and friends.
@Thethompson65
appreciate the eulogy for Aunt Mary 🙏🏽. I know she was smiling down on us and laughing at all the memories. I appreciate you showing me I have a gift of teaching young men the game I love. Rest easy beautiful 🙏🏽
Was going through old emails earlier...As much as I say trust the process I mean it! I went from working in college football for free to interviewing with some big schools but I always was comparing myself to my peers. Trust the process and keep chasing your dreams!
2020 was a hectic year! I now know what it feels like to be burnt out...If you know me, I want to help EVERYBODY. Having a break over the holiday was much needed to recharge and get back to it!
