In #TheLegendofSpyro : The Eternal Night, we were given a look at #Cynder 's original look before she was corrupted by Malefor's dark magic. As a regular dragon, she lacked the bladed wings and spade tail. The symbols and black scale color were a result of her corruption. #Spyro

Just realized that #Spyro : Year of the Dragon sort of has two sequels: Spyro: Season of Ice, the Gameboy Advance handheld sequel that was released in 2001. And the console title “Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly” that was released a year later in 2002. Both took place after Spyro 3.

According to Volteer in #TheLegendofSpyro : A New Beginning, there were rumors of a purple dragon generations ago. That means Malefor's existence as a purple dragon wasn't written in public history and future generations had no idea that the Dark Master was one until DOTD. #Spyro

OG Cynder was stolen as a egg, raised by evil and later corrupted by Malefor, and then defeated by Spyro. Same bio with Skylanders Cynder. Academy Cynder was a princess born into an evil family of dragon overlords but turns down her birthright and wants to be a hero instead.

I got bored, so I did a personal skin texture mod based on my old Legend of Spyro Ancient Grove #CynderTheDragon pic I did years back. Coloration is based on the Ancient Grove level and the enemies found there :) I used @/DragonSkyRunner's fan Reignited Cynder Mod for this mod.

Everyday I think of what a new #Spyro game would look like after the Reignited Trilogy. We've seen the graphical upgrade that was showcased there. But imagine a new original game with 4K graphics using the full potential of the next gen consoles like the PS5. #SpyroTheDragon

I imagine when a new #Spyro game is announced and if they use the Reignited model or use a new design similar to it, I can imagine the same design backlash. How the design is not 1:1 like the OG design or the designs made after it, etc., etc. It's inevitable. #SpyroTheDragon

I keep looking at the #ReignitedCynder mods, pondering about what a possible official #Cynder in the #Spyro Reignited universe would look like. I know they may not resemble these, but character artists have to look at official source materials for references after all.

Differences are telling when comparing the console and Nintendo DS versions of #TheLegendofSpyro : Dawn of the Dragon. When the DS models stayed more true to the concept art and gave #Spyro and Cynder different rigs than the console versions could do in short time.

Hmm, Beenox’s first take on #SpyroTheDragon was in CTR with the Spyro & Friends Grand Prix and the Spyro character skins released later on. They used references from old Spyro games, borrowed models from Reignited... If not TFB or other studios, Beenox could work on a #Spyro4 .

“They dropped #Spyro after the first #Skylanders game!” Yeah, let’s ignore his reposes (2012-13), the IDW comics (2014-16), his NPC role in Imaginators (2016) and the Academy Netflix series (2016-18). Come on, people, at least do reasearch. XD

You know what they say: first impressions are everything. Even on Spyro. These are the first press images of each individual Spyro. The first 3 Spyros had their designs changed/tweaked over the years after their reveal; Reignited Spyro so far only had his irises shrunk in CTRNF.

Tbh I don't see #TheLegendofSpyro reboot being revisited anytime soon, because otherwise Reignited #Spyro (OG trilogy remasters) will be replaced to make way for it, since the Legend reboot was made to start Spyro over and continue on with more LOS-based #SpyroTheDragon games.
