John Trinidad is a name most don’t know, but if listened to A’s Radio over the years, you heard us mention “JT” often. Our longtime studio producer oassed away this week. All of us were better because of him, lots of laughs and long nights of baseball. He is missed dearly
Ken Griffey Jr. is visiting tonight one final time at the Coliseum, site of his first MLB hit, April 3, 1989 vs Dave Stewart, a 1st inning double on the 2nd pitch he saw in the big leagues
Vida represented a grand time in the history of the A’s franchise. Accomplished things on the mound that may never be duplicated. A wonderful, warm human being who had time for everyone who wanted to say they met him. The Bay Area lost one of their greatest.
A couple of notes for Wednesday and Thursday on A’s Total Access….I will unveil my all Oakland A’s team (subjective) from 57 years of baseball in the East Bay and for the finale…I go 1 on 1 with the Man of Steal, Rickey Henderson, with a special pregame interview
All season you heard me talk about the anticipation about becoming a grandparent. Well, 10/22 Callum Joseph Hudgins came into the world healthy and Veronica and I can’t be more excited. Love to his parents, Olivia and Troy Hudgins.
Thanks again for coming along for the ride this season. This hard working group helped make A’s Radio and
@athleticscast24
a success in 2023 bringing stories and conversation and highlights all year.
Shea Ryan Langeliers was 4-4 tonight . His dad Steve named him after Shea Stadium (born in 69) and Nolan Ryan (dad’s favorite player )..Steve graduated HS in 86 (WS win for NYM). Can’t make this stuff up
Since some of you have asked to hear the opening remarks from our Friday broadcast here in Detroit, we are efforting to make that happen. Apparently, the MLB app started our broadcast after I opened the broadcast.
One of our biggest (literally) supporters for years has been Tom Kerr aka The Mauler. He made the trip from PA for one last look at the Coliseum! Mauler is the best! Can’t thank him enough for all he has done for all of us over the years.
A lot of talk about my good friend
@MilwaukeeMauler
and his passion for the A’s. This should confirm that he one of the biggest fans anywhere. His fine work and privileged to own a copy
@BenVerlander
Your brother told me two weeks ago, pitching in the 9th inning in game 5 of ALDS leading 3-0, he fell behind an A’s hitter and crowd sounded to him like he walked in the winning run..unlike any place in baseball
A’s radio PxP man Vince Cotroneo has been calling baseball for over 3 decades, working his way to the big leagues, where he’s been the last 20+ years. Excellent advice on what you need to focus on to be your best. For wisdom like this and more, check out

Tonight’s Greatest Moment in Oakland History is the MLB play of the year in 2018 by Ramon Laureano. He provides new information not heard before about the catch and throw.
What a pleasure to meet Gianmarco Fanaone, GM of Team Italy in the WBC. Became an A’s fan in 2006 club. Introduced him to Mark Kotsay and he presented him with a Team Italy hat! Mike Piazza is heavily involved with the team. Thanks to
@jonmorosi
for the introduction!
Once again, my wife wins the day and anniversary! As a Brooklyn born, son of a Brooklyn Dodger dad,
@DorisKGoodwin
has long been a favorite and honored that she signed her latest book. Thanks Doris!
By the way, further enhancing the 2024 season for Brent Rooker…he got his 69th rbi last year in his 137th and last game of the season…in game 90 this year, with his 1st inning solo HR last night, he collected RBI number 70
To continue to show times have changed, last year by 4/28 Oakland allowed 10 or more runs 11 times! Only twice so far in 2024..win

An incredible experience this morning at the Roberto Clemente Museum. Many thanks to Executive Director Duane Rieder for the mind blowing tour. When you’re in Pittsburgh—this is must see
Gerry Fraley was a baseball writer’s writer. Old school in every way, shape and form. His way of keeping his own daily statistics in notebooks were legendary . Thankful we were friends. All the best to the Fraley boys as Gerry receives the HOF award for writing excellence
