Simplify+, for #b3d , is not a caching system, it is real-time. In this file of Wing It! by @BlenderStudio_ , some parts are dependent on Geo Nodes, which can take time to evaluate in complex scenes, like bevels and etc. By disabling expensive resources, a new experience emerges!

The best of both worlds? Object Coordinate is cool for procedural normalized textures but it won't work if animated. Generate works when animated but it stretches depending on its bounding box... Ok, what if we use #geometrynodes to make a Generated that auto corrects stretching?

Vertex painting is not suitable to lowpoly? Exploring the blur tool and painting in small increments to define the gradients, giving a sense of flow to the mask (when contrasted it you'll see). Secondly, the technique of the previous post can brake even more the jaggedness. #b3d

I strongly recommend doing @simonthommes procedural shading course on @Blender_Cloud . It helped me so much understanding how to manipulate vectors trough mathematical functions, which are also very applicable in #gemotrynodes right now. (Even I suck at mathematics!)

Ok! I just did my first addon for #b3d with #chatgpt4 that helps deleting specific vertex groups for multiple selected objects by text input. (with minimum coding skills!) My first experience with AI stuff and I'm still shocked how productive and it was. 😲

I'm sorry guys for the look of it. I was just trying dynamic displacement in #geonodes + shading. Long time I wish I was able to this kind of things using no baked maps, totally generative and procedural. Geometry itself is one vertex. Rendered in #eevee .

-Hold on to your papers 🗒️✊😅! From the previous technique I was able to reproduce it using #geometrynodes + #shaders and here I'm still able to control the mesh in the curve level to fake joined meshes! The theory is the same: project part of the geometry and steal the normals.

@arc_ord My point is most people’s modeling workflows are too destructive (full of wasted clicks and hard to manage amount of polys) than it could actually be because they are not aware they could work in conjunction with parametric and procedural techniques available within the software.

PhysX 5 being open source and cross platform wouldn't be a nice way for @Blender to take some advantage in this department? I tried Bonex addon which makes use of it but unfortunately it does not work in Linux (yet). But man, I'm loving the snippets... specially this one! #b3d
