Love puffins??
Here's your chance to own a colony of your own!
By the way, the coolness of these birds extends FAR beyond just how they look! Did you know a group of puffins can be known as a colony, a circus, a puffinry, a gathering, a burrow, or, best of all, an

As I type this I am sitting looking at the love of my life in a hospital bed. Tonight she suffered a seizure and stopped breathing. I performed cpr and thank God she started breathing again. She is in good spirits now as we await news. Tell your person you love them.
Day 94, not a huge change n the scale, to be expected, I had a free for all fun vacation weekend filled with food, fun and laughs with my family!
BUT massive changes in the way I am presenting myself to the world with the removal of my security blanket. That beard did a lot to

Holy cow!

So, big news, based on tests to dates and the specialist visit today we are 99.9% sure its NOT cancer, we are relieved beyond words. We will know 100% next week. Its hard to explain the weight of not knowing, I wasn't aware myself, until the weight was lifted.
So folks, sometimes in life you get a true moment of absolute fulfillment. After two years of touring and chasing whales, see near breech's, partial breech's, tails, flukes and dorsal fins..... today.... today I was presented with magic.....

Sorry for all the not so positive, kinda anxiety filled posts the last little while. I strive to stay positive no matter what, but life has gotten rough.
Tour season is done, income is down, my mental health is deteriorating and I'm struggling to keep ahead of it.

Good morning folks! Its Monday, time for the healthy living update. Things are going well, weight change is slowing down, to be expected, but I feel like a different person. Clothing is fitting better, more energy, mental health continues to improve. Still some major

All passed, grade 12 achieved. Took longer than we thought but he is now the proud owner of his high school diploma.
He received his hoodie from the school, signed the wall and received a glowing review.
Cake and pizza it is!
So proud.
Ok, I was hesitant to share, afraid to jinx anything lol.
BUT I figure I've been a very open book, sometimes to a fault, up to now so why change.
At 10:00 am tomorrow morning I have a zoom meeting regarding possible employment utilizing my photography and interpersonal
Health journey update. This week I am down another 7 pounds. Thats 28 pounds down since I started.
More importantly, my average resting heart rate has reduced and my average blood pressure is down to normal range.
All this after just 2 weeks of clean eating and ensuring I am
Very real question, why do folks need to make fun of people who are happy to be vaccinated, or married, or on a diet, or any other of the millions of things big and small and want to share it on social media? Its SOCIAL media, not ANTI-social media. Give it up, stop being sour.
So, after my injury and job loss we declared bankruptcy. It was a difficult thing to do. I had built a very good credit score, very good.... that was destroyed in minutes...
We actually filed a consumer proposal, where we make bi-weekly payments for the past 4 and a half

for sharing a little of my work today and sending folks over. Been a busy day for new followers, want to welcome you all here. I'm an open book, for better or for worse, but my favorite thing is sharing this wonderful place I call home, so, welcome!!
So, why all the excitement about the Stellar's Sea Eagle?
Well, there's a few things...
One, it is EXTREMLY rare, not just here, but globally. Only 4000 of these amazing birds exist in the wild! Compared to HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of Bald Eagles.
Two, its NOT supposed to be
So, here's a story. I took my kid out for lunch. After we were done eating we noticed an eagle near by in a tree. I swore cause I didn't have my camera. I brought him back to work, picked up my wife, had lunch with her an grabbed my camera... I'll be damned, still there!
Folks, our long awaited tax adjustments and back taxes for the boys disabilities have FINALLY arrived. We just spent an hour or so flattening all our bills and repaying the folks who have done so much to help us through a very rough couple of months.
As well, we bought our

Its Monday!! Healthy living update time. Missed last week due to being on tour.
So, down under 290, happy days.
More importantly, energy levels up, sleeps was meh last week but I think alot of that was nerves from the 7 day tour. Moving is easier, that's so important.
A very Happy Anniversary to my very best friend. I couldn't imagine a life without you in it, it sounds cliché, but you complete me.
Much love, looking forward to our date night tonight around the bay!
One of our first dates, we were babies, and one of our last, aging like
My oldest, 17 on the spectrum wonder child, just got accepted to a program that will provide him with training for 4 weeks and then at least 20+ weeks employment. I could cry!!
Folks, it's Monday! That means its time to do a healthy living update. 48 days in and I am a different person, no lie. I have lost a total of 45 pounds in these 48 days but that is NOTHING compared to what I have gained in the same time frame.
Better sleep, increased energy,

Absolutely STUNNING way to draw a close to this amazing tour and possibly my season!
Twillingate, and in particular Back Harbour, means so much to me. It was my two months here as an Artist in Residence that gave me the confidence in my ability to do this.
So, a little news on the healthy living front. Mondays weigh in was delayed as I was on tour...
I jumped on the scale just now and I am 299 lbs...
That's 51 lbs down....
No progress photo today. Just a photo of me, doing what I love, with a new energy and a new confidence.

211 weeks ago this badly taken photo saved my life. This was after my injury, termination and bankruptcy but prior to my two spinal surgeries.
A day or two prior to taking this photo I was having vague and chaotic thoughts about ending my life. Little things like, how easy
Gabe got the job! Its helping out in a Music shop!!! I am SOOOOOOOOO friggin' happy for my young man! For those of you who don't know, Gabe had an interest in music, its faltered a little over the pandemic, but he is STOKED to be involved again!
Gabe is one step further along to getting his funding for his education sorted out after a meeting and a call today. Super proud of this young man. He left grade 12 with our blessing at the height of covid. His neuro-divergent mind couldn't process the changes and it was

Very excited for the month of October. I have a month long exhibition at the Grounds cafe in Metro. The biggest market of the year with Christmas at the Glacier and at the end of I set up another display space in downtown St. John's.
Lots happening.
My oldest, who turns 20 in November, just completed his final test to get his grade 12. To say I am proud of that young man is an understatement, covid really derailed him, but he pulled himself back up and got the job done. Upwards and onwards!
Serious talk. My struggle with anxiety and depression since my spinal injury and subsequent fallout is a battle I fight every single day, EVERY day. It could be a quiet day, a crazy day, a happy day, a sad say... every day I am at war with myself...
its exhausting....
