For years I've read articles claiming design is more important than ever in startups. But my observation is it's still usually the last product role that's hired for with the worst equity comp. Founders want PDs to solve huge problems beyond UI but don't set us up to do it.

While it's far less "intelligent", the UX of on-device vision vs GPT Vision, LLaVa, etc is still really great if your use case fits Fast: a few milliseconds vs several seconds or even a minute you'll wait for a vision model Reliable: works in airplane mode And it's free...
