The omnibus bill is over 900 pages. I don’t know all that is in it. I doubt many protesters do. But they know that it was rushed through to preempt their demonstrations—just as the KPU decision was, as the KPK revision bill was. They feel democracy is slipping from their grasp.

Indonesian diplomats have not received enough credit for their work during the pandemic. As of 11 June, they have assisted in 110,505 repatriations—including 21,778 cruise ship crew from 28 countries—and distributed over 477,000 packages of essential good to Indonesians overseas.
