If you're planning to delete your content after receiving this email you might want to consider backing it up first.
You can backup your VODs, highlights and Clips in the Cloud with my Vault service. It's also possible to export the backups to Youtube.
Are you tired of
@Twitch
follow bots and the best you can do is to remove them after they already followed?
Fear no more and block the bots before they can follow you! My blocklist manager got an update to block a lot of known bots:
Follow bots are an issue you say? Fear no more!
I've created a tool which lets you remove accounts from your follower list:
You can filter accounts by follow age and / or account age.
Want to remove all your Clips on Twitch?
I've got tool for you.
1. Install the Tampermonkey browser extension
2. Install the Clip Removal script
3. Go to
4. Click "Remove all Clips"
This was my tool. It would have used and respected rate limits if Twitter would return them like they do on most of their other endpoints. Would have also been nice if Twitter reached out instead of just fully disabling it.
Twitter experienced slight degradation of service today from an old 3rd party tool used to block accounts that had no rate limit (sigh). Should be fixed now.
Ihr habt Chatverbindungsprobleme auf

Anstatt ein VPN zu verwenden was ggf. dann den Videofeed zum buffern bringt gibt es nun ein Browseraddon wo nur der Chat über einen Proxy läuft:

Looks like someone found an "easy" way to create lots of Twitch accounts. It's been a bit over 24 hours now and over 4 million bots account were created and it's still going up.
I've seen lots of concerns in regards to
@Twitch
extensions leaking your IP address when visiting a channel.
This is why I created a browser extension which lets you block all (default), all except allowed or none except forbidden extensions.
Looks like
@Twitch
is currently overloaded from all of you using the follower remover and blocklist manager. In these cases a removal is queued on Twitch's end and it can take hours to display.
I've seen a lot of talk about emote thefts the past few days. I created as small tool which lets you find possible alt emotes across Twitch and FrankerFaceZ. It's still very beta and I'm not sure if I want to continue to support it but it's here for now:
Happy new year! Time for Q4 2023 Twitch stats:
Twitch currently has 3,459,050 affiliates and 73,674 partners, all while having 2,036 staff accounts.
There are currently more than 15,634,560 emotes on Twitch.
Looks like
@Twitch
changed a bit how chat bans work.
I tested it myself and can confirm that a chat ban will now unfollow the user. It will however not block them from re-following, only a block will do that.
A timeout doesn't remove a follow.
newly-discovered change: if banned from a channel you follow, that follow is removed. previously, the broadcaster would have to block you to force an unfollow. now, a simple chat ban would do. by no means does this justify a claim of mod abuse.
I created the tool a while back but I guess it's a good time to showcase it again.
allows you to remove followers from your Twitter account. So if you don't want nazis following you (or someone else) you can filter your followers and remove / block them.
It's probably a good time to remind everyone that my Vault allows forwarding your stream to multiple streaming services at once, be it Twitch, Youtube, Kick or any other service which uses rtmp
OBS Studio 30.0 Beta is now available for testing! This update adds support for WebRTC output, improved YouTube integration, a new and cleaner status bar, launching in safe mode, and more!
Read the details and how to test here:
Just added another feature to my
@Twitch
follower remover tool:
Being able to remove follows from accounts which are banned from chat. Why should they see when you're live?
Twitch will restrict who can view follower / following lists in 3 days.
From August 3, 2023 onwards only moderators and channel owners can see the list of followers.
Viewing who a user follows will only be possible for the user themself.
I have upgraded my Clip remover script to also have the ability to just list Clips (with filters).
This gives you the option to have a list for a browser extension like to download them with ease
Want to remove all your Clips on Twitch?
I've got tool for you.
1. Install the Tampermonkey browser extension
2. Install the Clip Removal script
3. Go to
4. Click "Remove all Clips"
Update: Twitch has contacted me today and asked that I keep the tools disabled until 2021-04-15. They also said that they are working on suspending the bot accounts on their end.
While that might not fix the issue completely it's a good step in the right direction.
I've seen quite a few requests for this feature and now it's finally here:
👉 Twitch VOD Youtube exports with chat overlay! 👈
You can select the area the chat should be and the service will add it on the video before uploading it to Youtube.
To celebrate Simulcastvember I'm removing the restriction of needing payment information when using my Vault to re-stream to multiple services like Twitch, Youtube or Kick until the end of Nov 19th.
This means anyone can try it for free.
I'm seeing multiple complains that
@Twitch
's Youtube export feature isn't currently working.
My Vault service can backup your VODs and highlights and export them to Youtube. It's even working!
The
@Twitch
follower remover and blocklist manager are now both online again.
Twitch has suspended 3.264.967 / 5.347.671 (61%) accounts on the known bot accounts list so far.

You can use my Twitter follower remover to do just that:
Q3 2020 is already over so it’s time for
@Twitch
stats:
Twitch currently has 1,311,911 affiliates and 48,662 partners, all while having 1,752 staff accounts.
There are currently 2,707,172 emotes on Twitch.
Today marks the 2 year anniversary of Twitch name changes. I’d like to celebrate this with some stats: More than 7,786,033 users changed their name, 1,013,448 more than once.
In related news there are 507,267 affiliates and 35,580 partners while Twitch has 1260 staff accounts.
Twitch released a new API to fetch the channels a user is a moderator in. Naturally I've build a tool that uses this API to make listing and filtering them easy:
It’s that time again so here are some Q2 2020
@Twitch
stats:
Twitch currently has 1,085,678 affiliates and 45,365 partners, all while having 1,700 staff accounts.
There are currently 2,167,354 emotes on Twitch.
If I were to create a service which lets you backup your Twitch past broadcasts / highlights or even clips by storing them in the "cloud" and it would bill you monthly based on the storage use / network usage.
Would that be something you're interested in?
Today I received an email from Twitch legal asking me to remove my changelogs on . It's sad but I have done so.
Thank you to everyone who used them in the past.
You have to give Twitch some credit for stopping the massive bot account creation around 2 hours after I tweeted about it. That makes me wonder. When did Twitch notice it? Did it take a 3rd party like me and community outcry or did they have alerts setup?
🤖 Organised groups of bad actors have been trying to create bot-nets - bots that end up getting used for Hate-Raids.
In an effort to continuously improve the safety of our streamers, we frequently patch these issues and remove the malicious accounts they make.
I've build it:
Based on your interest on I've created a service which lets you backup your Twitch VODs to a private online vault. It's pretty basic (backup and download) for now but I will continue to add more features

It’s time for Q3 2021
@Twitch
stats:
Twitch currently has 2,305,416 affiliates and 60,606 partners, all while having 2,095 staff accounts.
There are currently more than 4,227,570 emotes on Twitch.
It's the end of Q2 2019 which means it's time for some updated Twitch stats:
Twitch currently has 630,115 affiliates and 37,683 partners, all while having 1,383 staff accounts.
There are currently 1,162,139 emotes on Twitch.
Per Twitch's request I have temporarily disabled the blocklist manager and the follower remover tool. There is currently a huge backlog of blocks / follow removals and once they are processed the tools will be enabled again. Thank you for your patience.
Time for Q2 2021
@Twitch
stats:
Twitch currently has 2,106,389 affiliates and 58,702 partners, all while having 2,041 staff accounts.
There are currently more than 4,489,227 emotes on Twitch.
It’s the beginning of 2020 which means it’s time for some Q4 2019 Twitch stats:
Twitch currently has 776,671 affiliates and 40,155 partners, all while having 1,536 staff accounts.
There are currently 1,442,875 emotes on Twitch.
I just noticed it's been over a year since my last little stats Tweet. Here is an update on the current affiliate & partner numbers: There are currently over 372,574 affiliates and over 32,831 partners on Twitch. 6,441 affiliates got partnered and 695 left the affiliate program.
I've got an unusual request the other day for a new tool so I've build it:
Block and remove every new follower from your
@Twitch
channel. Basically preventing further followers.
Looks like with all you people adding blocks you broke Twitch a little. As far as I can tell it's only possible to block non-following accounts at this time. There is no error when it fails, it just doesn't work. Lets hope Twitch fixes this pretty soon.
It's been nearly 2 weeks so lets look at the stats again to see if something changed. Looks like the noise was bigger than the action as not many have switched away from Streamlabs.
@TwitchSupport
Admit it. You guys just wanted to make the new streamers coming from Mixer to feel at home, giving them the same view count they had back there
#Kappa
As some of you might have noticed, my Twitch tools website had some availability issues the past week.
This was due to a large and continues DDOS attack targeting the follower remover and some other tools.
It’s April 1st but data is no joke.
Time for Q1 2021
@Twitch
stats:
Twitch currently has 1,859,083 affiliates and 55,135 partners, all while having 1,883 staff accounts.
There are currently 4,031,125 emotes on Twitch.
I have updated my "Emote Content ID" tool to make searching for emote thefts even easier. You can now list your current emotes and search for alts directly and you can also save searches and be alerted via email if a new match is found.
The tool will now try to remove all Clips on your channel. Due to Twitch being Twitch it might take a while. Just keep the tab open as the script will continue to check and remove any clips until you close the page.
Time for Q3 2022
@Twitch
stats:
Twitch currently has 2,874,365 affiliates and 68,079 partners, all while having 2,499 staff accounts.
There are currently more than 9,908,904 emotes on Twitch. 🧵
Want to remove all your Clips on Twitch?
I've got tool for you.
1. Install the Tampermonkey browser extension
2. Install the Clip Removal script
3. Go to
4. Click "Remove all Clips"
After probing a lot of Twitch partners the news are in:
Twitch users often say that females have it easier... males however are still 3/4 of partner channels.
You can now filter live channels by sex on:
Twitch is tiny in comparison:
3,920+ Twitch streamers have more than 100,000 followers
12 Twitch streamers have more than 5,000,000 followers
1 Twitch streamer (Ninja) has more than 10,000,000 followers
In 2020:
✅ 80,000+ YouTube Gaming Creators hit 100,000 subs
✅ 1,000+ YouTube Gaming Creators made it to 5 million subs
✅ 350+ YouTube Gaming Creators reached 10 million subs
It’s a new year already which means it’s time for Q4 2021
@Twitch
stats:
Twitch currently has 2,439,376 affiliates and 62,529 partners, all while having 2,147 staff accounts.
There are currently more than 4,038,685 emotes on Twitch.
You could say that this is a punishment for a broadcaster but on the other side this is a great feature, if you as a viewer are tired of getting ads. Don't want to buy Twitch turbo or a channel sub? Watch one of the selected ad free hot streams instead.
Yesterday I was informed that Twitch has Indefinitely Suspended Advertising on my channel
Twitch didn't reach out in any way whatsoever. I had to initiate the conversation after noticing, without any prior warning, all the ads revenue had disappeared from my Channel Analytics
@ImStillJohnny
@hackbolt_
I've build a similar image scanning tool back in 2016. It looked for nudity / porn in profile images. Found so many and reported them. Twitch told me to stop after a few days as it was too much work for them to remove it all.
New feature on
You can now directly record livestreams.
- No possibility of any Twitch muting on the backed up VODs
- No need to have recordings enabled on Twitch to have a backup of the stream
Kind of crazy to think that today marks my 10 year Twitch partner anniversary.
Lots of things have changed over the years, most for the better but some for the worst.
Can't find the follower list on the new
@Twitch
channel design? Of course not, it got removed ...
No need to worry, here is a tool which lets you view the follower list of any account:
It even got filters and the option to export all followers as CSV :)
With
@Twitch
changing the default VOD storage duration to 7 days it might make sense to setup auto backups and / or auto exports of VODs to Youtube with optional chat overlayed on the stream. My Vault service lets you do all of that
Starting on September 1st, 2022, VOD storage for 'Other Broadcasters' is being reduced from 14-days to 7-days.
This will apparently not impact Partners, Turbo, Prime, and affiliates.
#TwitchNews
The group behind the attack is communicating via Telegram and at least one of their members is from Taiwan and uses a Samsung S10+ mobile phone. You can try but you can't hide forever...
You liked Reruns and hated that
@Twitch
removed it as a feature?
I'm bringing it back. You now can schedule stream exports on my Vault. Just set the start time and where the stream should be.
Want to filter and manage your blocked term list for your
@Twitch
chat?
I have a new tool for you:
Filter, remove, export and mass import your blocked chat terms.
I've just added a new feature to my Twitch follower remover: Being able to remove follows from accounts which are suspended or disabled.
This is useful for example if Twitch already suspended the follow bots but they are still following your account.
I just updated the script to make it more reliable. You can also tell it to just remove Clips which have less than x views. It now displays what timeframe it's working on. The easiest way to update is to click on the version number and then reinstall and reload the page.
Let's talk about Twitch extensions, you know the ones which block your video player or hide between the panels below it.
Here are the 25 most used ones by partners and affiliates:
This made me curious so I did some investigating. 58 of 1,413 current staff accounts are still protected from being banned.
This is most likely due them be used for site moderation or other activities which require elevated privileges
I have updated my follower / following list and follower remover tool and added a bunch more filter options.
Want to know which staffs or which partners are following you? No problem!
Care to know which accounts are disabled and following you? Sure!
People are wondering how many
@Twitch
partners have a 70/30 (or better) split. While I don't have up to date data as Twitch has removed that information from the API I still have the Tweet from 2018. Back then ~21% had a non-default contract.
My "Block all new followers" tool for Twitch got an upgrade! You can now select which new followers you want to block, be it just "known bots" or accounts which are younger than xx minutes / hours / days.
Seems like the hype for such a tool was a bit too strong. Twitch has now added a global rate limit on the block API endpoint (which is used to remove follows). As a result you might get 429 errors and / or slower removal of follows.
