1. Collen Mashawana Foundation was made aware of a 110 years old Gogo Kenaope Mosidi who was evicted from her own house in Soweto. According to reports,a man claiming to be the new homeowner showed up at the house with an eviction notice, giving her 30 days to vacate the property
Did you know that 26yr old Tebogo Makwala who suffered severe burns at the age of 2 & was left disabled was regarded as one of the poorest person in Shikwambane Village (Tzaneen). She grew up with no parents & lived in an unsafe one shack for years. We built her a new home.

Did you know that when Collen Mashawana met 67 year old Mama Florah Masakona Munyai, she had lived in a mud house in Nzhelele (Venda) since 1988. She unfortunately lost her eye sight in 2004 & has since survived through grants. CMF built her a new home.

Did you know that when CMF met Tebogo Makwala from Shikwambane, she was 26 years old. She has suffered severe burns at the age of 2 that have left her disabled. Tebogo had been living alone in an unsafe structure in Shikwambane Village for many years. We built her a new home.
The Mashawana Primary School has been taken under the wing of CMF as part of our efforts, we have successfully installed a borehole that now provides water to the entire community. Additionally, CMF consistently provides the school with uniforms and learning materials.

After the untimely death of Lindelani Nengovhela (33), CMF, Old Mutual Foundation and Centre for Mental Wellness & Leadership will visit the maternal home of the deceased, to offer support to the family and to assist the children to work through this challenging experience.

Did you know that after meeting the Chauke family of 16 who were left homeless and in destitute after heavy rains, CMF built a new home for them. They lived in a mud hut & having had no income,they were not only left homeless but also hopeless in efforts to rebuild what they lost
Gogo Maphumulo said they rarely closed their eyes to sleep during the rainy season as the roof kept on leaking and at times collapsed on them, today we are happy that Gogo Maphumulo will receive her new house.

Meet Khanyisile Tshabalala. Her mother Mme Zodwa was told to give up as the child would never survive but she never did. We will build them a new home and support the mother with various interventions going forward.
Gogo Majola's home is a fully furnished 2-bedroom house with a lounge, kitchen, bathroom, and TV room. It is tiled, has a ceiling, and comes with electricity, solar lights, water tanks, and a septic tank.

In response to the traumatic eviction that occurred one week ago, the Collen Mashawana Foundation visited 100-year-old Kenaope Mosidi today at the home of the elderly to see how she is doing.
When turning 40, Collen Mashawana and his 40 friends through the 40/40 Challenge, managed to visit 40 different locations making a difference to more than 20000 people in one day. The initiative included distribution of food and other essentials.

CMF Team will be in Ndwedwe, a town in the KZN region of Ilembe District Municipality, on Friday the 14th of October 2022. We will be paying a visit to Mthokozisi Dube, a disabled man who lives in a one-bedroom mud hut with his 90-year-old grandma and 13 other family members.

Did you know that after waiting for a house for over 20 years, 89 year old Kuku Anna Matjila wrote to Thuso Motaung at Lesedi FM for assistance. She had stayed in a shack full of holes, leaking & about to fall down. Collen Mashawana visited Koko & built her a new home in 4 weeks.
Did you know that it took us just over a month after meeting Gogo Shange to give her a new house. 80yr old Gogo Flora Shange from Folweni was diagnosed with TB & had to cover herself with black plastics before she sleeps to protect herself from rain that came through her shack
We burnt the old sponge Mkhulu used as a bed, his old torn clothes and the rubble he kept in the shack. After demolishing the shack & moving him into a new temporary structure, we gave him a new bed, new clothes and enough food. God bless Mkhulu Joseph Thabethe.

This morning, we visited a 74 Year old Gogo Ngqulwane in Orange Farm who lives out of a broken car. While we are working with government to get a stand so we can build her a new home, we have moved her from the car and built a temporary and safe structure for her.
