I can confirm per Dr. Eric Jacuzzi (VP of Vehicle Performance) teams ran one “simplified diffuser” and one different splitter in addition to the 2023 package. During the post-test debrief, drivers said they wanted to try the current splitter with new diffuser tomorrow. #NASCAR

I’m told teams are ONLY testing mufflers, then acting on what was found yesterday with the tire/aero combination — which drivers reacted to positively. That means no gearbox/shifting tests. Would take too much time to conduct and #NASCAR felt this would be more productive.
