Even hotter take, most of you in this thread, including OP don't even know what dependency injection means.
Every CTOR, function call, or callback you use IS dependency injection.
What you mean to say is DI *FRAMEWORKS*
Dependency injection is a) not a *pattern*, b) necessary
@leonsilicon
In the time you had to spam over 150 keys, I count 6 mouse clicks and 2 drags would have done the same thing, probably faster and with greater accuracy as you stumbled on both resizes.
This isn't a flex.
@ChristosMatskas
I use linked lists and binary trees daily. Maybe you just build really simple projects that just don't need them. Doesn't mean NO ONE does.
There's also the idea of "that should have been a......" That maybe you just didn't realize would benefit from proper data structures
Here's a quick demo of what I was able to knock out with
@FiniteSingulrty
's new Advanced Mask/Composite Blur/Glow-Stroke-Shadow plugins,
@exeldro
's Move/Transition Table Plugins, and
@Andi_Stone
's Scene as Transition plugin.
I dig it!
@artofsully
Not sure I understand your point, but I like the one in red you've marked with an X. I'm not seeing any of the adjectives listed in the animation, and the faster one is overstimulating imo.
@pedrosanders_
No. No it's not. When hiring, I have hundreds if not thousands of resumes to look over.
I will never look at your GitHub on my own free will.
@VicVijayakumar
200 means it's a good request, a 204 would indicate no content, and a 404 would mean the endpoint doesn't exist.
In theory that's actually the only correct approach.
@Kinghuzz01
@pedrosanders_
Your experience on the resume. If you have none, then the way you describe your personal projects in your resume.
After that, it's going to depend on the company culture, but typically it's a phone call or an invite to coffee or lunch to get a prelim review of your persona/skill
@jarredsumner
This is like saying if you keep your underwear separate from your shirts you'll have to look in 3 places to find something.
If this is the case, you have bigger issues.
@youyuxi
I know these aren't yours from your other tweet, but when I see cars like this in a parking garage I think "lease fake flex".
I've seen too many dudes leasing these out while living in intense debt that unless they're housed in your private garage, it's a facade to me ๐
@Kinghuzz01
@pedrosanders_
If they seem reasonably knowledgeable:
Juniors are tested against their ability to adapt, passion to learn, & overall "vibe"
Seniors are tested against explicit knowledge of the tech stack, and ability to contribute new ideas to the teams, as well as potential for self starting
@AdamRackis
Early in my career, I encountered legacy PHP with a constant named FUCK_THIS_SHIT_I_JUST_WANT_IT_TO_FUCKING_WORK. If you didn't define it, instead of failing silently, it printed out. This caused chaos when it ended up on a client-facing site to a few million users!!! ๐ฑ
@JayzTwoCents
No what's ironic is how you're completely fabricating all of this, including putting words in my mouth. I did not say I condone his behavior, what I did was call you out on yours. Get off your high horse and stop bullying people!
@discord
When are you going to add features we actually want?
Like chain notification sounds and font selection?
Or maybe themes?
These should really be low hanging fruit since it's an electron app.
@devagrawal09
When I was an architect I was choosing operating systems, networks, protocols, standard services, platforms, languages, libraries, etc etc. What do you think it is?
@Kinghuzz01
@pedrosanders_
There's a good chance that your GitHub and experience don't align with the entire company, I'd be as bold as to say 90%.
"Oh, you use foo? I've only used bar", or "baz is the new new, but we have an established product so throw it out the window, were not refactoring"
@AgentCGonzalez

I scanned you before you walked in the front door, by the time you're at the beer I've partially identified your shopping habits, as well as biometrics like vocal range, eye and height dimensions, and can track your sentiment analysis. From 300ft away.
Alright, Codex has finally pulled the trigger and applied for Partner on

I always tell my engineers that it's ok to not know the answer, it's not ok to act like or say you do if you don't.
Managing expectations is half of business operations!
@ThePrimeagen
Some of us also design kernel modules, integrate with device blocks, etc, so it makes sense to just live in it.
Also audio in Linux is wayyyyy better than Windows or OSX now that Pipewire is prolific.
Woah woah! Looks like Codex was accepted into the Embers 4 All trial.
Very honored to be one of the 1,000 participants out of everyone on Mixer!
You have from 3/25 to 5/1 to drop those gorgeous Embers on Codex - let's get him to the $50 minimum!

@gatbofficial
It's a huge pet peeve of mine to NOT be told if my audio is bad. I spend a lot of time trying to perfect ours, as well as help many others.
What's worse is when you try to say someone is quiet and the mod using ear buds argues it's fine, so the steamer brushes you off ๐
@dmofengineering
Been saying this, and a lot of junior and non devs get mad thinking their 1-2 bullet points on a generic microservices slide/article they Google searched is definitive ๐
@wongmjane
@elonmusk
@Liz_Wheeler
I'm curious what you find bad about Android.
You keep mentioning it, but I've loved Android since it came out and am genuinely interested.
@moblordTV
Call me crazy, but it could be because you're not coming to the table with millions of dollars? ๐ค
You do realize YOU'RE the product when you're using a FREE service, right? It's true for literally EVERYTHING.
@RobertKazinsky
@elonmusk
You're making a LARGE assumption that people are even aware or concerned about a checkmark before acting on a whim.
Literally tens of thousands of people scammed daily by imposters WITHOUT the checkmark, and you're over here thinking it makes a difference
@VicVijayakumar
@kvlly
Dude modern dotnet is great *and* cross-platform, and I find c# is way more sane than typescript.
WPF, however, I fully agree - 7-figures or gtfo ๐คฃ
I'm interested to see Maui come to Linux though, then I'd probably go all-in on the dotnet ecosystem.
@VicVijayakumar
First, Princess Programmer is adorable
Second, what a horrible parent
Lastly, she needs encouragement because too many women in technical fields are treated poorly.
I hated reading that.
@soychotic
You need a decent grasp on Linux first imo. Otherwise you're trying to kill 2 birds with a boulder that's too heavy.
But I love me some docker!
@devagrawal09
Well when architecting systems it's very common to come across. Just like burnt pizza bottoms, you don't want them, but it happens in every pizzaria on occasion.
Codex's surgery went well and he's in recovery. No complications! Whew! They asked for him to recover at home as they need the beds for Covid patients. So I'm in the parking lot waiting to pick him up. Thanks everyone for the love, care, and well wishes โฅ๏ธ
Codex's Birthday is coming up, and to celebrate we're doing a GIVEAWAY for 3 lucky winners!
Be sure to check out the

Winners selected on Codex's Birthday (8/10) and we'll be celebrating on stream!

Our resolution is to DEMAND more game mechanics from SoT!
Make the grind for Pirate Legend exciting! The stories aren't that fun, and the regular faction grind gets old pretty quick.
@themarcba
No, that's a product designer, architect, and stake holders' jobs.
A developer is literally there to implement the ideas created before they even get in the mix.
If you're a 1-person startup, then sure - make up anything you want to say and act like it's truth.
@AdamRackis
Not sure what it's like where you're from, but 4 and 5g is still ridiculously slow in saturated areas such as every major city.
That 100k transfer is more like 3 seconds.
Source: I wrote the legal network evaluator for FCC.
@leonsilicon
Literally can time it, it doesn't take long, I just OPENED 15 WINDOWS AND SIZED THEM in the time he did 3. Opening a file or entering URLs is fast and easy enough behavior with the keyboard.
Sorry that both your reading comprehension and primitive puzzle skills have failed you.
@FreyaHolmer
This isn't so much debugging a shader as much as it is a debug shader. Like you have to wholesale take this shader, or continually edit portions making you debug the debug more than solving your issues with your actual shader.
Neat, but not very practical when trying to work.
@VicVijayakumar
The amount of experts and geniuses that come out on every change
@elonmusk
makes is amazing.
How are we in this economy with all this brainpower and knowledge everywhere?
@dadevil99
The problem with this thread is that almost everyone chiming in only focuses on WEB development, and more particularly html/css/<insert framework here>.
There is sooooooo much more to software engineering than tinkering with astrobuild and nextjs.
@furrycodertrash
@AdamRackis
Yep. It's this charlatan account stuff, I've heard a lot of fraud from 100devs promoted, and bootcamps in general are trying to rubber stamp the industry.
Snake oil everywhere.
@OBSProject
@Twitch
Finally! I knew it was on twitch's side!
Every time OBS crashed and I'd reconnect, I'd still have to stop and restart again, but this is great news!
